I suppose I should introduce myself. You can call me Book or Shepherd (or Shepherd Book, if you wish). This is definitely not where I expected to find myself, but I'm sure it'll be a great adventure.

This is my favorite anomaly. So far. I like my wings.

In strange ways, this faire reminds me quite a lot of Munchkinland, despite being entirely different. The magic of this place has deemed that I should be a bookseller, so I suppose if you're needing something to read in the evenings or to help pass the time, we have plenty of offerings available.

And honestly, selling books? I think I'm fairly good at it. Maybe I should look into working at a bookshop when things get back to normal.

To think I delayed my honeymoon by a week to go to an arraignment scheduled today, but instead I'm playing the foil in a sword fighting comedy. (You all are lovely, and the act is very funny—but this is just the principle of the thing.)

At this rate, I'm never making partner.

Today you all find yourselves equally blessed, for whoever is responsible for all this strangeness saw fit to give me a stage and permission to make you laugh until you cry. Did you hear the one about the knight who won a pie, a cake, and a pudding in the tournament? Guess you could say he got his joust desserts.

This one-man comedy act is here all week! I think? I'm here for some amount of time, however long this thing lasts.

Anybody got a suit of armor and a live chicken I could borrow? Don't ask questions.

I suppose if I had to run a shop, selling incense and oils would be the sort of products I would enjoy sharing with the world. I know quite a lot about them.

In honor of the start of this mysterious occurrence, I'm holding a sale. Two for the price of one on any combination of incense and oils. I also have in stock a number of assorted burners, holders and plates as well as some ceremonial statues of the Buddha.

Not sure if I ever mentioned this before and I honestly lost track of what day it even was but today just so happens to be my birthday. Now, I'm not looking for a fuss here, but I was wondering if you might wanna do something with me for it. I have zero ideas, mind you, my birthday is usually just another day of the week to me.

We could get dinner or something though, maybe? Cake.

I am also open to suggestion.

I regret every single carb loaded plate I baked and ate yesterday.

That was certainly an interesting experience. I want to thank the entire crew of the Enterprise for their professionalism and adaptability for the duration of the voyage. It was a privilege to witness such incredible leadership.

I just have one small, teeny tiny, unimportant complaint...

Who's offering lessons?

I'd just like everyone to know that I've officially replicated enough tiny dinosaur models for two armies. Which means there can be battles, if anyone's interested in passing the time with a friendly match. Winner takes the helm.

You may have noticed that we’re currently in orbit above Ni’Var, the Vulcan home-world. We plan to stay for three days and will be sending a delegation from Command, Sciences, Engineering and Specialists from San Francisco to discuss and investigate our current situation. While here you’ll all have the opportunity to take some shore leave and explore what the planet has to offer.

For those of you who are first time visitors, some things to remember. The atmosphere is thinner than that of earth and the temperatures much higher. No blue skies here, they’re usually a shade of red and you can always see T’Khut, the planet’s binary partner up there.

The computer has a guide to the planet which will go into as much detail as you request.

Please be back aboard before we depart on 16th | 202504.16.

You’ve all been doing well so far, considering we threw you in at the deep end, so to speak. If any of you have questions or concerns regarding your assignments don’t be afraid to raise them.

While on Ni’Var, take the opportunity to meet with your science academy counterparts if it’s offered. Their facilities are top notch and well worth a visit.

Public announcement on the U.S.S. Enterprise / Public Network Post:

Attention, all personnel. This is Captain Christopher Pike. We find ourselves in a unique situation here. We’ve encountered some sort of anomaly. Roughly half of the crew of the Enterprise have disappeared. Simultaneously, residents of San Francisco have suddenly found themselves here. Let me be the first to welcome you to the U.S.S. Enterprise. I imagine everyone has a lot of questions, so let me attempt to answer them.

Ship tours will be available at 1000H, 1400H, and 1800H. (10am, 2pm, 6pm)

I am curious, do any of you have any holidays that seem specific to where you come from? Ones that aren't shared with/by this place.

As an example, where I come from there is a First Contact holiday which is when Earth was approached by the Vulcans because the humans had achieved warp-capable technology.
