Genuine question. Have some of you never dealt with children before? Because I haven't had all that much experience and I know better than this.

Stiles is a confused, displaced ten year old who doesn't need to know the gory details of how people have died, that monsters are real, or multiverse theories that include telling him his home doesn't exist here.

So next time any of you feel the urge to share things with him that might not be appropriate to just dump on a child, maybe check with the two people who are primarily responsible for his care and making those decisions first because I can assure you it isn't any of you and you're not the ones who will have to deal with the fall out.

It is strange, seeing the date and realizing that I have been here nearly a year already. It is the longest I have lived outside of New Orleans since I moved there in 1910. And in a surprising turn of events, it would seem most of you have not grown too annoyed with me or weary of my being here.

While I know there are many festivities already happening this weekend, I would like to celebrate my time here, though I am unsure how. An evening gathering in the outdoor commons on the 5th floor, perhaps?

That was quite the announcement to wake up to. Pity, about our friends. I am sorry for those of you that have lost someone dear.

Unfortunate about the theater company Ms. Hargreeves and myself had intended on starting, as well. After some discussions we had during our time at the renaissance festival, I had been looking forward to that quite a lot.

If you have not yet seen our little musical trio (and by that I mean myself, Allison, and Waverly) down at the pirate stage, you are missing out. We are having quite the good time and the patrons seem to be feeling incredibly generous with their tips.

So, it seems we're a part of a renaissance festival of some sort. Or at least that appears to be where I've woken up and I walked the grounds early this morning to get a lay of the land, so to speak. There was a notice on a board near the front gate, I think, stating this is the "Kingdom of Beale," so I can only assume we're still in San Francisco.

Is everyone alright? Nothing else out of the ordinary?

* First Aid certification not required, but encouraged
** CPR certification required (First Aid encouraged)

If any of y'all are interested, hit me up or contact one of the centers and tell 'em I sent ya.

The centers' websites have a lot more detail, but I'll try to answer what I can.

(Also, this ain't just for the kiddos, so if you're one of the older set and find something [possibly more full-time/permanent?] in the listing you might want to do, I'm sure something can be arranged!)

Anyone interested in getting teams together to play a friendly game of football?

This place is weird. I mean it does shit like steal all your socks and send you to freaking space. On the other hand, it also gives you your Baby.

As we get into the summer months, how does everyone feel about a weekly movie night in the common area?

I'll set up a spreadsheet of family friendly suggestions and we'll figure out some way of figuring out what we're watching when. What are your favorites?

Just picked up a free Buck Rogers comic from the Bookmobile.

He has a whole load of different ones, but this reminded me of home.
