I've never been the 'new kid' in school before. Back home, the town was small enough that everyone knew everyone else. You'd be with the same people from kindergarten to high school.

Don't get me wrong, it has its draw backs: Everyone knows everyone else's business, you'll run into your ex way too frequently, and your parents will always know everything you've been up to. But I think standing up in front of your homeroom and awkwardly introducing yourself might be worse.

Still, glad to be done with learning online. Easier to focus in person.

How do folks feel about a community luau this weekend? Indoors and maybe with a bit of magic to set the tropical vibe.. Some cupcakes and music...

Heat visioning the ice only does so much but if anyone's patrolling still and needs it, just yell for me. Helped this dog out that looked like a Popsicle and now it won't stop following me around.

I mean... Okay that makes sense. No way you can get from Indiana to California that quickly- Unless you use portals or teleportation or wormholes but two would take an enormous amount of constant energy consumption and the other would probably spit you out in a different universe. Oh wait! I'm sorry. That's exactly what happened!

This is supposed to be theoretical but now it's science fact? Though given what we deal with... maybe I should have expected other weird science to be real, but I didn't think about it because we had enough to worry about.

Today was my first day of this world's schooling, and I can't say I'm particularly impressed. It's very very different from my studies back on Alderaan, especially because I haven't been attending a formal school for several years. I'm trying to be positive about the experience, but the classes I'm taking aren't really applicable to me at all. I was able to sign up for a language class, though, and I'm looking forward to that the most.

Also, can someone explain to me what pickle ball is? It's my physical education requirement, but I thought pickles were those soured green vegetables that come in a jar at the market?

This is the kriffing worse. I can manage in the fog, but the ice? Yeah, no. I ate ground a little more than I wanted.

Is this normal weather here? I hate ice planets. I don't like being cold.

Most things are better here considering how home was gonna go....but there are some things I still kind of miss from it, which is stupid. But here we are. I remember a Christmas tree lighting town thing in Smallville one year that I got to see with the Kents was kind of fun. I didn't even get to live there very long, idk why now I'm remembering things like that.that I'd never get to see again probably anyway but whatever. Feelings are stupid

It's been really nice getting to watch the city change with the upcoming holidays. Since this will be my first time celebrating Christmas on Earth, what are some of everyone's favorite traditions?

Putting the Christmas tree up was a little sad this year... I mean for one, I had to go buy a tree, but when I was decorating it I realized that I didn't have any of our special ornaments, the ones that Willa Wynonna and I made growing up. You know the tacky little kid ones that are the absolute best thing on the tree! So, I thought, maybe we could have a grown-up Christmas ornament crafting time?

I'm absolutely volunteering my apartment for this (sorry roomie! unless you want to make an ornament???) and I was thinking maybe this Saturday evening? I'll get supplies if I can get a rough idea of how many people would like to come be creative with me! Oo! And I'll make eggnog. Alcoholic for the grown ups, and a sober version for littles and people that don't drink.

What do you think?

I'm seeing a correlation between the appearance of turkey feathers, a strong sense of nostalgia for home, and then the arrival of some sort of object. For me, it was a particularly favored magnifying glass.
