Network Post- Cornell Stokes (Post "Luke Cage Season 2")
I needed a little time to reflect. Had worked deep on converting an Ellington to my own take. I had looked back on how I got to San Franfuc...how I got here and still had no answers.

So I took the gift that I was given in December and used it to go over the rainbow. Click my heels three times and say "There's No Place Like Harlem" right? Turns out, yeah...you can't really go home again. Well you CAN, but after this? There's no real reason to.

Appeared in the place I wanted to see most. Harlem's Paradise. Headed up to my office because there's a nice bottle of Johnny Walker Green that I kept in a hideaway spot. Got on the inside and its...different. Open. Airy. Figured it wasn't the best place to be spotted because God only knows how long its been and I'm probably not sticking around. Anybody who sees me should think I'm haunting the joint. And yeah, I'm perfectly good with that now.

But I digress. My keypad has been removed because there's no real need for security. Seems the new owner doesn't need much protection. Nothing of Mariah. No scraps of Ma Mabelle. Nobody. Everything important was moved off-site and my life. My legacy. My family. Gone.

Maybe its better that I am a ghost. But its on sight for whoever took my Green Label when we get to whatever reward's waiting.

I'm from Sugar Hill. 148th and St. Nicholas. If San Francisco can deliver me a good Bacon Egg & Cheese and the chance to see Raphael Saadiq live again, it'll get more votes. You a local?

There's a place a few blocks away that does a pretty decent breakfast. We liked it, anyway. No, in another reality I'm from a town about three hours drive away.
