I am apparently not allowed to live at work. 8 hours a day is not enough. It's space month at the Exploratorium, I wish I'd have joined ten years ago. Please come check it out. It's amazing. Tactile dome is in fully space mode. Thursday is the 21+ sci fi mixer.

While the rest of you are doing those dungeons being critter fighting badasses (I don't even know the names of these things wtf??), SOME of us have the biggest month of the year to prep for!

But your girl is TIRED and STRESSED and I can only come up with so many ideas before burnout SO.

First year we did weekend themes and honestly, I can not picture doing better than that and maybe I shouldn't try?

The next year the theme was mostly just live music.

Then last year (God I can't even believe we've been open three years) I was dealing with losing David and I just kinda winged it and ended up with themed nights for the last week of June.

So I turn to you, my beautiful displaced people, but ESPECIALLY my LGBTQIA+ displaced people. What would YOU like to see celebrated at Edge of Glory for PRIDE month? I've got permission to have under 18 till 9pm but last year we did an entire night devoted to Teen Night and I'm not opposed to doing it again (and since no alcohol is served, we can stay open to teens later, bonus). Any other ideas? All suggestions welcomed and reviewed and if the club can't make it happen, I can use my connections to make sure someone around the city can pull something off!

I said okay to some kind of side quest that's going to take me down into the sewers, underneath the city. Maybe for a few hours, it'll feel like home.

That isn't to say here isn't home now, by the way. It's just complicated, as I imagine it is for most everyone here. Though perhaps not for some of you who have been here far longer than I have.

I've got tickets to the San Francisco Opera's Barber of Seville later this month. I am interested in taking someone with me, preferably on a date, but I'm open to it not being a date as well. If this and dinner out sounds like something you might like, hit me up.

I'm never going to get used to people just .....disappearing. Mal is....was? is a good friend, and I'll miss him loads. I'm saying is because I'm choosing to believe he'll be back one day, even if he won't remember everyone.

But I did have a question for those who have taken on a job that was perhaps out of their comfort zone here. How did you figure out it was the right thing to do? Cause I had one offered to me after the job fair last month, but I'm not sure if about it.

It's teaching — a part-time, summer only thing. One class for adults who want to take up creative writing as a hobby or, I suppose, a career. I know how to write — I wrote a few books at home before all this — but just because I know how to do something doesn't mean I can teach other people to be competent.

I’m throwing a graduation party for Stiles and I since he’s graduating from UC Berkeley next week and I’m graduating on June 1st. And it seems like there’s a good number of us graduating across the board in the next month so any fellow grads no matter the school are welcome to come celebrate with us too.

Saturday, May 30th in Apartment 1603. There will be gift bags.

I have a new job. I'll be working at the Exploratorium. I decided to accept the offer there. It was a hard choice as I had both Academy of Science and Exploratorium to choose from. They are more geared towards engineering which is still my first love. Thanks to everyone who supported this change ♥

I'm a little bit inspired to also sew again. So don't be discouraged to bring me your super suits. Which are my specialty as far as that goes.

Didn't expect to have a birthday with a tail, but it's definitely better than the last few. Did make dancing harder, but once you dry off, good to go??

AND I landed a job (thanks for the tip, Cisco, you're brilliant!) and I had to come up with about 4 excuses to postpone orientation and onboarding because it WON'T STOP RAINING and I'm a girl who needs a magical portal directly from one inside to another inside or else I'm going to be an exhibit at the museum and not, you know, an exhibits coordinator.

I went to the job fair that popped up...I have interviews at the Exploratorium and the Academy of Science in various departments at the end of the week. I'd already called ahead with much encouragement from Henry and it was initially scheduled for end of April but has been moved up.

I'm not really sure what to say. It's been more than a year and Mike and Steve were right. Things were nuts. But it's done.

I never had time back home to explore things like museums or other interests outside of STAR Labs. It's...I don't know. Both kind of exciting and a little bit feels like I'm not allowed to? Idk. I feel a little guilty doing so sometimes? Brains are weird.

So, I'm not sure if folks have their spring breaks planned out already or not, but the museum has given me a grant to go on a dig and have said I'm allowed to take students with me. I'll be there for close to two weeks - around March 23 to April 3.

UC Berkeley & Stanford have spring break the first week and the high school is off the second week. Folks are welcome to stay as long as they want during that time. I'll also need chaperones, so adults, if you want to come, we can make it happen.

As for sites, currently debating between Montana, Wyoming, and the Dakotas. Should have that finalized in a week or two.

I don't think I'm getting wings. It feels a little pointed. Like, "you get to do ghost things at night, you don't get to fly, too" kind of pointed.

Even the new guy in my English class, who started school last Wednesday, showed up at school on Friday with badass, punk rock dragon wings.

It's weird when you hear two people arguing (Jason and Yelena. It's Jason and Yelena) and they switch languages mid-sentence. Multiple times. And it's weirder when you can follow the argument.

Which brings me to my point and I know it's been asked before but I'm asking again:

Other than English, what languages do you speak? I'm only claiming fluency in 12. Yes, I realize that's a brag. But I blame Bruce.

I'm willing to admit I probably shouldn't have bothered, but I really thought the jeep was better at handling things like a little cold weather now.
