[ART]: “The Bare Necessities” (Snape/Draco, NWS)
29th November 2007 23:15
Title: “The Bare Necessities” ;)
Artist: [info]gold_loewin
Media: Photoshop
Characters: Severus Snape/Draco Malfoy
Rating: very very light R (only for a little bit of blood)
Warnings: blood
Themes/kinks chosen: Fake spoiler - Snape is a vampire.
Artist's notes: Here I was practically forced to try the digital way, my scanner is broken. But OMG, I begin to understand why my friends are addicted to their tablets, the possibilities are awesome, I love it so so much! :D
The result looks suspiciously like my old acrylic style, just without canvas or texture. Sorry for the lack of smut, I tried for sensuality though. I'll make up for it next time! :)

My first thought was: this is oil. And then I saw that it's digital. Very, very well done! The textures are amazing, the silk tie, the woolen sweater. Excellent!

This is simply stunning. I wish I could stare at it all day long. Their expressions are amazing. They are simply beautiful.

You say you're new to digital art??

*stares*

You've got to be joking, yes? Because HOLY CRAP!! That's absolutely gorgeous! It does look like paint on canvas -- everything is so real and alive! Your use of light and shadow and the textures on the hair and clothing is blowing me away. Plus it's hot as hell, which is niiiiiiice. ;)

Wow. Your Draco looks bloody gorgeous. Literally. ;)

*stares*

That's done in freehand? That's not a picture you took of the two of them? (cooperative models that they are- NOT!)

My heavens, this looks wonderfully realistic! I like the contrast between light and shadow, and whom is in which. The hair is amazing, especially Draco's.

All in all, I'd say you should keep attempting if things like this are the result!

Jealousy is green monster that is eating me 'cause I really want to be in Draco's place.
You say its an digital attempt? Well, I could swear that I was looking at an oil painting.
Loved the colouring and the shadows. Their expressions are great too.
And -'cause i'm sucker for them- teh fangs! Those I could not miss!*g*

Oh my gawd. I literally put my nose against the screen trying to figure out if you'd imported his tie from somewhere or really painted it. I still can't decide! It looks that real. You have such a lovely style, even if I've never said so before. D:

I absolutely love this.

Wow, Draco is portrayed so realistically and yet he appears to be so angelic. I love that Snape's hand covers Draco's. It's as if they're feeling the heartbeat together.

Holy shit ... I just got a female boner x) Draco's face is absolutely amazing, almost looks like a photograph!! You did the light perfectly. His expression = guhhhh.

And Snape, damn... Love his nose :)

Everything about this is WIN.

GOD this looks like a holy painting, something to be hung upon the walls of a Catholic church.
The LIGHT! Draco's hair! And his uniform. I'd never seen it so beautifully drawn. I'm not a fan of vampires, but this art is simply amazing. Tell me that there's plenty of your pieces I should see!!
