As always, your writing has a certain cadence to it that draws me in. This piece is particularly flowing and surreal. I love all the implications of the past Lucius/Severus relationship here, and Lucius' "explanations," and how they all lead to Severus' decisions in the end. The final imagery is gorgeous. Well done.
