It has come to my attention that I have been sorely lacking in my duties as Tooth Fairy, and I would like to make up for this disgraceful dereliction of duty. Parents/guardians I would like for you to submit to me a list of your children's teeth loss (with attached evidence where possible) so I can proceed to restitute the financial amount correspondent to the number of lost teeth. Please do this as soon as you are able. I vow not to let this go on any longer; from now on all exchanges of teeth for a symbolic amount of money will be made within twenty four hours of the tooth's placement under the pillow.

This thing keeps changing my usual greeting to watcher so I guess I'll just say hello. Teddy said I should introduce myself here and showed me how to use this thing. Pretty ace! I'll take it over parchment and ink, yeah? Clean, and I can just erase mistakes. I like it.

Call me Tonks. Just Tonks. The directory here shows a lot of names I recognize and a lot I don't, but since I'm a mum now I need to socialize good and proper. I got here today, apparently in the middle of some kind of situation where some of your men are gone a bit mad? Not my doing, I promise. I'll be working as a Detective, which sounds a bit more descriptive than Auror, but I'll take it.

Plant a magic bean, think about how much you miss your greenhouse, and wake up to it sitting in the backyard. I like how this place works sometimes. If anybody has an interest in magical plants, let me know. Don't, uh, don't just go in there. Some of the plants are poisonous. And a few of the ones in the back are just plain tetchy.

I'm not very good at... expressing my feelings. I'm sure you all know that, although I sincerely hope I've gotten better at it by the time you two are around, Hope and Eliot. Your mother reminded me that I needed to say what's on my mind instead of just assuming everyone knows what it is I'm thinking about, so I'm going to try.

I know Teddy being here is going to be an adjustment, so I wanted to make sure everyone was okay. We've only got so much time together, and it's nearly Christmas. I really want us to all be okay. Each of you, and Teddy as well, gave me hope that I could have something that I'd honestly given up on, and it doesn't matter to me how we got here, what matters to me is that we're family and I love you. That's never going to change. So ... that's what I wanted to say.

Soo. Any tips on introducing yourself to a dead parent? If I start reading now and skip a few meals, I should get through all the books here in about...

Roc's on his way (I think) but I see there's so many of you here. Like migratory birds. Only more tolerable because Spinnets don't usually get hit by bludgers. But this thing must be on the fritz because there's too many Potters. And Professor Lupin? Als? Katie? Fill me in while I wait? Or come with Rocco. I'm okay for either.

Ambrose (did I spell that right?) has been explaining it, very helpfully. But this is all hard to believe until I hear from a friendly face that I already know. And if he's right, time isn't moving at home, and that means I can get in more practice than the other teams and I'm kind of okay with that. I'm not getting any younger. There is a pitch here, yeah?

God, how do I ev You don't know me, but could you distract me anyw Anyone especially knowledgeable about music here? Not like proper uni-educated or anything, just well-versed in the popular sort? I've realised I'm going to have to start over with my record collection and I'm sure there's a mountain of things here I've never heard. I like rock and pop music for the most part, but I'm willing to try anything once. Even if it's odd, honestly. My favourites are in the Queen, Abba, and Earth, Wind & Fire range, but don't let that box you in as far as suggestions go. I can whip up some potions for you or charm your hair or something? I never get to offer that sort of thing to strangers at home.
