[After the re-taking of City Hall, livestreaming from inside Gotham begins anew.
The
Planet and
Gazette are the first to pick up the new footage, which quickly goes viral. This time, the focus is the closed bridges leading out of Gotham and the people huddled there, pleading for the military to let them leave the city. Children, elderly, men, women, all huddled together, cracking lips from lack of water and weak from lack of food. The livestream interviews people from the crowd at random, and the reporter behind the camera makes sure to give names and identification numbers for any military personnel getting rough with the citizens waiting to escape.
Calls from all over the country start bombarding the offices of government officials.
A name starts making it way through the crowd by noon -
General Sam Lane - and it's a non-stop chant by afternoon. By nightfall, the man in question rolls up in a tank. With much annoyed frustration, and with an entourage of CDC personnel in his wake, he orders Trigate Bridge opened.
The doors to the hotel remain frustratingly closed.]
