Seeing as Solaire decided to sneak off into the night on us (word is he's on a mission, but I don't have any details), Fenris and I have talked it over and we're postponing the wedding to the 24th. Hopefully we can get that arranged without too much trouble. I don't know how these things work. We might have to sell Grace and keep our secondborn. BUT ideally, I won't have to stab anyone. Or threaten to stab anyone. Or annoy them until they cave. Actually that last one is probably more likely.

[OOC: belatedly it occurs to me that I never did an official wedding invite, lol. Please assume friends got told in person a few weeks ago or like handed a napkin with details written on it at some point, IDK, he's a mess.]

Woke up way too early this morning and couldn't go back to sleep. Apparently I needed to think about every major decision I've ever made and whether or not I made the right choice. Now I'm weighing the benefits of just getting up and starting the day versus trying to get more sleep -- after all, it's Friday -- and what kind of coffee would be the best option if I do. I could make some headway on my next book, though now that I'm thinking about it, I should probably rewrite a bit of it because there's a few things that could probably flow a bit better.

Okay, getting up. Brain won't shut up.

A few days ago, Hawke's toy dragon stopped flapping around and attempting murder. When I removed it from the chest we had trapped it in, it appeared normal. Are these "Troubles" finished, then?

So is that whole five month notice on a wedding a requirement around here or just extra polite? Also can I custom order giant balloon versions of two people dressed in formalwear? Is that a thing? Asking for a friend.

We really should finalize a date and get going on the planning. Do you have anything you've been imagining in particular? I was thinking something down at the harbor but we'd need things to warm up a bit first, if we don't want everyone whining about how cold they are through the whole ceremony. (By everyone, I mean me, obviously.) End of February or sometime in March, maybe?

Lot of peculiar stuff on the network yesterday. Not just normal peculiar either, we've got people speaking in peculiar languages, peculiar things happening, peculiar bits of luck getting thrown about, peculiar shops showing up around town... the whole thing is just a step above our normal peculiar. It's also kind of peculiar how we're just rolling with it, as a whole.

Someone please sort this out before my home is filled entirely with bananas. I enjoy fruit, but this is ridiculous.

I just realized that by the local calendar, today is the first day of the tenth month. That makes tomorrow my Freedom Day.

Should anyone wish to join in celebrating freedom and wishing a miserable death upon slave owners and slave traders, I intend to begin drinking at Cava at sundown tomorrow.

My fortune cookie said something about future not being guaranteed, and to continue embracing the present. I'm going to take that and the fact that I'm unchanged today as a sign. Clearly, I'm just going to look like this forever, or die spectacularly young. Either will work just fine.

I very much need to lay eyes on my sweet elderly companions, though, so don't be shy. Let me see your beautiful faces.

Maferath's hairy ass, I thought a sack mead hangover was pretty bad, but a hell of a lot of beer following too many milkshakes is a new experience all together. Watch out for those Hawkes, people. They seem nice, but there's a darkness in there that delights in causing stomach problems.

Which is a hell of an introduction. Name's Varric and I have to say I like this a lot more than ink and paper.

Where would one go for clothing here? It seems clear that armor is not necessary for daily wear in Atlantis, and I find I miss Lucas Darby's jeans. They were very comfortable.

Hey, just as an FYI, I somehow managed to shock Gary this afternoon?? I have no idea how and the wiring in our apartment is fine - I called the landlord who grunted at the place, which strikes me as a fine assessment - but I guess I'm going to get checked out as soon as I can make an appointment. What causes lightning strikes to happen in one's hands??

Anyway I'm so sorry again Gary; I promise it won't happen again and if it does I'll try to change it up a little so you're not bored.
