--I know you're all probably busy, so I'll keep this short. I just wanted to say I miss you.

Got another nosy question for some of you, since I'm coming up on a year here in Atlantis. (At least a year that I've been cognizant of.) How much do people remember of Breckentale? Everything? Or is it fading at all over time?

MATT MURDOCK:

What do you think are the chances of us getting to escape the city for even just a day, sometime... I don't know, end of September, early October?

Okay, I’ve been thinking. I’ve been here nearly a year (how the hell has it been that long already?) and I’ve seen a lot of shit that shouldn’t be possible. Turning into animals, randomly aging a handful of decades, turning into a man, essentially being kidnapped out of my bed for simulations I still don’t understand, living an entirely different life -- and as interesting as some of it has been, do we really know if it’s safe? Has anyone done any studies about that? We assume - or we’re told - that some of it is just Atlantis and it’s no big deal and it’ll go back to normal, but how do we know that for sure? Has anyone else ever wanted to look into what effects it all might have on us? And are there any limitations on who goes through it? Age limits? Do pregnant women ever get picked, and does that have impacts at all? (That isn’t any sort of hint, before anyone asks.) How does this change development on a cellular level? Do we know if it really is harmless, or is that something we’re all just trusting? Who or what really is behind it? I don’t trust easily. We shouldn’t trust easily.

I’m sure I won’t actually get answers that satisfy my questions. I mostly just wanted to know if other people have the same ones.

Oh goody goody gosh!

I’m a Claire bear again. Everything is so much farther away than when I was a panda, though. I can’t reach anything. Thankfully Matt’s letting me ride around on his shoulders. Much faster that way.

I know this can be distressing, but think about it this way: you get a break from your normal life, and you get to experience something new! Does anyone need a hug? It’ll make you feel better. I’m very good at hugs. Matt says so, so it must be true.

On behalf of the fir tree by the lake:

If there are picnics beneath this trees boughs, ensure that you pick up after yourself because when the rain comes the water that seeps into its roots is laced with the stench of people (and you should pick up your trash - that's from me).

Trees can speak to one another through a complex web of fungi that connect their roots to one another and they talk about us when we're scurrying about. They think it's funny when the breezes ruffle our hair and make us look unkempt.

They hope for rain and suggest we get stronger umbrellas or better yet, raincoats.

Okay, the first one was kind of funny, but I think I’ve changed colors six times now. Is anyone else lighting up like... I don’t know, a damn mood ring?

[TWO CHARACTERS EACH eat something this morning and within in an hour their skin is starting to change colors, but it's not just changing color for fun! It's changing color by emotion. (So far, Claire has been: dark purple though no one saw that, teal, yellow green, orange red, lemon yellow, cyan.]

Thank God you're back. When I woke up I almost immediately thought about you I wanted to tell you Matt wasn't gone and it was gonna be okay.

I'm so sorry but at the same time, I'm so glad you guys are together again.

Okay, I did the whole "take care of a fake baby for a day" in high school, I really didn't need to repeat it as a grown ass adult.

MCCOY & FITZSIMMONS:

Am I allowed to bring a baby doll to work? I tried ignoring it, but it's really damn annoying when you don't "feed" it.

What's the goddamn point of I didn't think we needed another lesson in the fragility of life and in how quickly everything can change. From what I know of a lot of the places we're all from, we already knew that.

KAREN PAGE:

Hey. I'm sure this doesn't really need to be said, but can you help me keep an eye on Matt? Ezio and Leonardo were our first friends here - we were all friends in that alternate reality or whatever the hell that was before the two of us actually woke up in Atlantis. So this is ... pretty brutal, to be honest.

I am being punished I see. Was it the matrimonial bliss? If this is the price I pay to keep Leonardo here with me then I will submit. But not without complaint! I cannot possibly escape this enclosure when it takes four hundred years to get anywhere.

MATT MURDOCK:

Don't l I'm going to get drinks with Will if you want to come. Or I'll just see you at home. I won't be too late.

Just when I was starting to think Atlantis had been ignoring me lately.

But you know what, I think I'd rather wake up like this than wake up in my 70s again. As hot as I was then, really wasn't fond of all the joint aches.
