On behalf of the fir tree by the lake:
If there are picnics beneath this trees boughs, ensure that you pick up after yourself because when the rain comes the water that seeps into its roots is laced with the stench of people (and you should pick up your trash - that's from me). Trees can speak to one another through a complex web of fungi that connect their roots to one another and they talk about us when we're scurrying about. They think it's funny when the breezes ruffle our hair and make us look unkempt. They hope for rain and suggest we get stronger umbrellas or better yet, raincoats.
