One of the weirdest parts about being human has been working on the outside of all those abilities I had come to take for granted. The emotions, the speed, the compulsion ... I was really getting used to being human and re-learning how time can be precious.

When the people around us started getting "powers", I did too. I thought it was a fluke and I could deal, so I've kept it pretty quiet. But now that the rest of them are gone I think it's important to tell you that mine aren't. I found out that I can teleport. Right now, it's working with small objects. I haven't tried it with anything living yet. I don't really want to think about that responsibility.

All of that being what it is, I want you to know. I don't know that I'm ready (or if I should) tell the whole group. I welcome your thoughts, though.

Checking in with all of you. I know it's been a positive collection of days and many of us have felt freer than we did in ... well, I still want to check on you.

I'm looking forward to seeing you at the dance tonight. A dance that doesn't have any murder, tragedy or inexplicably evil supernatural events. If all that happens is that I drink a shot and want to hug everyone, I accept that for what it is.

I'm lactose intolerant. The cheese fries are a delight but they're painful. The interesting thing is I have no memory of this from um the first time around.

I still have what is probably considered super-human alcohol tolerance. I don't want to test it but 3 shots and I'm only in the "flushed smile" category. I was never a sad or angry drunk.

I was never as fast or as strong as my brother. But I do enjoy getting up every day for a run around the lake. Having to think about my strength and my stamina instead of just relying on it. That's fresh.
