I promise I know what I'm doing. I worked at a ski resort for a while and learned. Well, I fell a lot and then stopped falling so much but the lift was the best part. I understand if you don't trust me after last time though. I can play shuffleboard.

I apologize if I was difficult to contact yesterday, I couldn't stop (quite literally) baking cookies. At last count, there were nineteen different types in my house, to varying degrees of success.... Most of them wouldn't be deemed edible. At least according to my toddler. (He gets much nicer as he ages. Or can simply lie a little better.)

I am sincerely sorry for taking over the kitchen, Chirrut and Mikaela, I would be happy to purchase you both dinner to make up for it.

[OOC: Yesterday Aramis had the need to bake A LOT of cookies. He can't bake, so only about 20 total are actually good.]

Well, now that I've settled in here a bit, I suppose I should introduce myself here. I'm Takashi Shirogane, but everyone calls me Shiro. I was a pilot for Earth's galaxy garrison, piloting a mission to Kerberos when we got attacked and taken captive. Keith's filled me in on some of the quirks here, including the mistletoe, but I'm looking forward to exploring the place.

I'll be one of the combat trainers, so I think I'll be meeting a handful of you through that.


Body 19 folks (Aberforth, Tharkay, Eileen) - I'm your new roommate it seems. Um, I'm generally tidy and I know how to cook, so I don't know how we divide chores.


Are there folks that do morning workouts around here? I'm happy to do them on my own, but it's good to have accountability partners.

ELIOT JR, HOPE, JULIA, SIRIUS:

I'm not very good at... expressing my feelings. I'm sure you all know that, although I sincerely hope I've gotten better at it by the time you two are around, Hope and Eliot. Your mother reminded me that I needed to say what's on my mind instead of just assuming everyone knows what it is I'm thinking about, so I'm going to try.

I know Teddy being here is going to be an adjustment, so I wanted to make sure everyone was okay. We've only got so much time together, and it's nearly Christmas. I really want us to all be okay. Each of you, and Teddy as well, gave me hope that I could have something that I'd honestly given up on, and it doesn't matter to me how we got here, what matters to me is that we're family and I love you. That's never going to change. So ... that's what I wanted to say.

Nothing quite says Christmas like chopping down your own Christmas Tree. I was very happy to see I was not alone in my little quest, too! At first, I was worried that maybe I would not be allowed to do that here in Atlantis. I am grateful for the loan of the saw, [ooc | volunteer to be edited in]! Reinhardt may not forgive me for not using an ax, but to be fair it will be easier to put in a stand this way.
