We're heading to sunny LA, so I hope you packed some sunblock. Meet me on base in 20 for a mission briefing before we head out.

There's something you both need be aware of. Lorna, I don't know how much I've told you in your time, but I was told today that Angelus is here. Not Angel but Angelus. He's already killed a couple of people and left a note for Buffy with one of the bodies.

I don't think I've told you much about him, Cisco, but he's a vampire from home that I've known for a few years. Normally, when he's just Angel, he's someone you want on your side and is one of my best friends. When he doesn't have his soul, he's extremely dangerous. He's sadistic and ruthless, and he uses the relationships Angel has with the rest of us against us.

If he knew Buffy was here then he probably already knows I'm here too. I know what to expect from him, but I don't know if he knows about either of you. If he's with you, Lorna, he'll probably be able to tell that you're my daughter, and that will only make him more interested in you.

They're working on a plan to try to re-ensoul him, but until then, you both need to be careful. Vampires from home can't go out into direct sunlight, and they don't like fire or holy water. I'll make sure you both have some vials to carry with you. A wooden stake to the heart will kill him. We want to try to capture him in order to give him back his soul, but if it's you or him, don't hesitate.

Please be careful going out, especially at night. He's incredibly dangerous.

By now you've all been briefed and settled in. I'm your Field Command for this mission along with Buffy and if you need anything in terms of support or intel, just let me or the home base team know.

If you have caffeine preferences, let us know and we'll try to accomodate them. Otherwise, I think we're ready. Home Base team will be beefing up security around the perimeter today.

As always, snacks and caffeine in the kitchen, punching back and training equipment in the basement.

I'm off to LA which they tell me is in California on Earth. I have no idea what to expect. It should be an adventure.

Glad that my strange urge to walk around even the smallest of objects in my path wore off quickly. It could get tricky avoiding everything.

Well, I never thought I'd end up in Sunnydale.

So. We've been given the delightful oppertunity to give someone his soul back. There are teams in this vampire's world doing what they can to get us information but this is what I know.

His name is Angelus. Their kind of vampire is a sort of a soulless diluted demon but he was cursed with his soul. Guessing that's why they asked me to lead this merry band this time round.

I'd like to know more about why he was cursed, who did it and how. We know that, we can work backwards and figure this out.

Also, have any of you been part of a magical rite?

I think what I find most entertaining is that this soulless creature would make a deal with COS. Mostly because, what would it earn them? I personally like creation, I'm known for exceptional creativity actually.

One doesn't need to be good to be sensible.

Oh well, perhaps he has his insane reasons. Since I'm not involved, I'll watch with interest.

I believe that Atlantis is determined for me to become a chef. A couple of months ago I was randomly entered in a baking contest and today an elephant was giving me advice about how to choose the best mushrooms for certain dishes.

Is it wise to trust a talking elephant?
