Silent Hill: Wren and Evie make bad life choices

Who: Evie and Wren
What: A thing of DOOM
Where: Silent Hill
When: Nowish
Warnings/Rating: Gore

It was supposed to be quick, and it was supposed to be harmless. )

Various locks

[After fighting them through the rather horrifying hospital to a relatively less creepy hospital room and barricading them in it. And no idea of the differing time problems caused by the Silent Hill Door to everywhere else in the world, Evie rattles off a few messages.]

[Luke H with a cc to Wren H]

Wren and I went into a door a bit ago, it was cold and foggy, when we stepped in the door disappeared. We walked through cold snow and fog and into a dark, disgusting, old abandoned (except for the monsters) hospital. We have a little bit of food and water I brought with me. Flashlights, and I have one gun with one box of ammunition.

Does any of this sound familiar, and do you or anyone know how to get us home? Luke, Daisy is at daycare with Lia today, you're an approved picker-upper so you shouldn't have any problems.

We are okay. Pretty shaken up and scared, but alive and unhurt.

[Random ass group lock to: Clint B (obliviously), Shane A, Saint R, Marina S, Lin A, Sebastian V - basically anyone Evie has had more than one conversation with.]

Is anyone near or around Marvel, and/or able to get to Marvel and available to go to my place? You'll have to pick the lock... my landlord only has two of my friends on the list to get the key. We got a puppy for Christmas, his name is Chicken Nugget, and I would really appreciate someone looking in on him. My friend and I are stuck in another door right now. We haven't been gone long, but while we try and figure this out I definitely need a dog sitter and better safe than sorry. Any takers? I can pay you in homemade soap and lotion.

Sorry for the massive inconvenience. XOXO

log: elena & pepper potts

Who: Elena & Pepper
What: a meeting about Stark Industries potentially supporting the Teresita Project.
Where: Brooklyn, Elena's office place.
When: Christmasy time, jusy after, while Elena has Teresa.
Warnings: None

The premises were Brooklyn and Manhattan had long left itself in the rear-view as the town-car drew close to the curb and Pepper swung out from the backseat, impeccably high heels first. Wealth was made all the more ostentatious in the small, unassuming premises; the suit was black instead of cream but the cut was quietly expensive as were the shoes. )

Log, Marvel: Pizza Party at Harry's

[The cab that dropped MJ off in front of Harry's pulled away from the curb with a roar, starling the girl and causing the pizza to slide in its box. She managed to keep it from tilting off of her palm, but only just. She just... needed a minute, outside, alone—well, with the pizza, but otherwise alone, to stare at the mansion that erupted in bulk marble from the perfectly manicured lawn. After her conversations, with Gwen and Peter both, she wasn't sure how she was feeling.

Confused.

Totally lost.

And still not quite sure she believed it, because who would?

Then again, there was some guy going around with webs coming out of his hands, so who could say what was believable or not? Not MJ.

She wasn't dressed for the cold. She'd left her coat on her bed, too tangled up in her own mind to remember it. So she came in a black sweater, purple skirt, and tights—all of which the wind ate right through. She held the pizza close for warmth, red hair blowing wild, and opened the front door. (MJ didn't like waiting around for the Osborn servants.)

And even though the place looked the same, she stopped right over the threshold, the honey and cream foyer around her familiar, but... strange somehow. She stood on the toes of her boots and looked down the wide hall, into the bowels of the mansion.] Hello? The famous MJ Watson has arrived. Anyone?

Locked: Max M/Ella D - Locked Jack C

[Locked: Max M and Ella D]

Hi, Max. Ella, I don't think that we've met. I'm Evie Sablier, you've both agreed to watch my daughter, Daisy, while Wren and I get out of this door?

First of all, thank you so much.

Second of all, she really does throw a lot of tantrums. I'm sorry about that. She's almost two, so part of it is her age, and she doesn't have a dad so I spoil her a lot, which I'm sure has plenty to do with it as well. Other than when she's in that kind of mood, she's pretty mellow and easy going as far as kid's go. And she is pretty used to changes, so she shouldn't be too wigged out.

She doesn't have any allergies to anything, and this is her doctor [information]. She had a cold after Christmas, and still has a little bit of a cough, if she needs cough syrup her prescription is at my apartment in Queens [address]. But she hasn't needed it for a couple of nights.

Please let me know how much I need to reimburse if she needs anything purchased.

You can get anything you need from my place too, help yourselves. Wren and Luke have a spare key at their house. I do keep some clothes and stuff for her in a little powerpuff girls suitcase at Luke and Wren's.

Oh. I just stopped nursing officially, but there is still some milk in my freezer, its not part of a normal diet these days, but it does mellow her out on the worst of days. And if she is refusing to sleep.

That's all I can think of right now, and I'm probably forgetting something important. Things are hectic, but if you need anything or have questions just let me know.

[Locked just to Max M]

Look, I know we barely know each other. And I know you might not be able to do anything about this, but if you can I'd appreciate it. All three of my "what if" people are about to be in this door with me.

I don't have family other than Wren, Luke, and Jack. If something happens to me, or all of us, please just do what you can to make sure Daisy doesn't get stuck in some terrible group home or something like that. If you know anyone amazing who wants a two year old more than anything else in the world, or if you just know how to stop that kind of thing from happening, or ... anything... And maybe you don't, but I just needed to say it to someone. And with Luke coming here with only Wren on the brain I didn't want to lay it on him to think about.

I know this is one of those huge random imposition favors from someone you hardly know, but if there's anything you can do if the worst happens, please do it. Please.

[Jack C]

log: shane & joey; pick up from the hospital

Who: Joey & Shane
What: Shane comes to the rescue
Where: Gotham General Hospital
When: Recent
Warnings: Language.

Joey Alexander had all of FIVE MINUTES to make his hospital escape. And yeah, he'd skipped out of juvie joints in the middle of the night, and he's skipped out on plenty of school mid-day. He didn't feel bad about it either, school still didn't strike him as anything worthwhile. School wasn't the way somebody like him was going to survive. Joey had done the school thing when he was real, real small. He remembered it with the fuzziness that came with adulthood, like maybe it hadn't been real. Way back then when Shane would hold his little backpack strap to make sure that he didn't stray into traffic. Wasn't many years later, he got the idea from Shane not to go at all. Big bro always had the best way to survive, right? And maybe Joey used to idealize him, but that was then. That was before Shane split and left the Alexander mess behind him for a couple of years(and with this Back to the Future shit, how long was Shane gone really?)

Still, the point is that Joey was good at getting out of places that he didn't want to be. He was good at avoiding getting his ass beat because he could run faster and hop fences and scale fire escapes faster than all them nothing motherfuckers back on the block. He was pretty sure he could even break out of jail if he was ever there long enough to really map the place out and get some ideas. But a hospital? Shit, as long as a guy wasn't in the suicide ward or chained to the fucking bedside by cop cuffs because of a robbery gone wrong, splitting from a hospital was a breeze.

Step 1: Fold up clothes and belongings as tightly as possible, then tuck up against your chest from under the hospital gown. Keep the hospital socks on, but add your shoes in case running becomes a probability.

Step 2: Convince the overloaded, overworked nurse behind the desk that you're just stepping out for a smoke. Give her a good smile, and let your ass flap in the wind with that open-back hospital gone.

Step 3: Once outside, fucking run. Run and get changed in the bushes, which is a lot more difficult than it looks with one fucking hand. Abandon hospital gown in the bushes.

Joey stood out on the curb he'd specified, one arm all strapped up in a blue nylon brace and lots of bandages. The demerol was going to wear off after another couple of hours, but if Shane came through, Joey would be shitfaced by that point so maybe he wouldn't notice. Fuck it was cold, he huddled in on himself and kept an eye out for any security guard that might come looking for him. The good thing about not having a name on your paperwork, the good part of being a degenerate part of society was that nobody really gave a shit if you left. If they weren't getting paid, what the fuck did they care?

[Marvel: Natasha/Master]

[The Master of the Hand found little challenge in moving on the urban landscape. There was a proliferation of shadows, and the dead were as thick on the ground as the living, their silent vigil a gray weight of ever-watching eyes that followed his progress. He was accustomed to it, moved through it, and arrived where he needed to be with an acceptable expenditure of power. He did no investigating, touched nothing, respecting the confines of the home as he had not respected its walls and locks; he only waited.

The black hooded sweatshirt was little protection against the winter that still clung to the city, but it concealed all but his eyes, which was all that he needed. If he pushed it back, it was easy to imagine him drifting entirely into obscurity within moments.]
