Why won't these doctors prescribe me tequila? I'm fine. Just a couple bumps, bruises, and uh -- someone else is doing laps training for the next week few weeks.

For fuck's sake. Never did I think I'd end up with a pile of marsupials on my head and shoulders running from some fuckers while dodging bullets with my sword AND YET.

[Around 09:15, all Atlantis residents were sent a message containing THIS image on their devices.]

[Around 15:30, THIS song can be heard throughout the majority of the base over the PA system. It'll repeat until someone overrides the 'announcement.']

Man, all I want to do is braid flowers in my hair. When did it become such a downer being here? It used to be all peace and love, man. Man, my daughter's going to grow up with this hugest chip on her shoulder if we don't fight the Power.

Usually I count myself lucky when I escape Atlantis' ... antics... but apparently Lauren is rather disappointed that neither of her parents are carebears today.

Thirty years in Starfleet did not prepare me for "Papa, but WHY can't you be a carebear?"

Apparently being a human father is a disappointment.

I suppose the bubbly water is simply Atlantis' latest whim, but I can't say I like it very much. I suppose we can at least hope it will be back to normal tomorrow.

On behalf of the fir tree by the lake:

If there are picnics beneath this trees boughs, ensure that you pick up after yourself because when the rain comes the water that seeps into its roots is laced with the stench of people (and you should pick up your trash - that's from me).

Trees can speak to one another through a complex web of fungi that connect their roots to one another and they talk about us when we're scurrying about. They think it's funny when the breezes ruffle our hair and make us look unkempt.

They hope for rain and suggest we get stronger umbrellas or better yet, raincoats.

Look, I'm not going to write this much again. I know it isn't easy being here. I'm sure, if you're like me, you all have your own problems back home. But I'm glad my daughter gets to grow up in a world where she's not persecuted for being what she is. So, thanks Atlantis for making that happen.

If you need anything -- extra training, homemade buneolos, a drink -- I'll be here.

Anyone who wants to channel their feelings into some productivity can meet me at the base after dinner for additional training. I won't tell you not to let COS or the glitches get the better of you; it's good to feel what you're in. This life is tenuous and precious. We're at the mercy of forces outside of our control all while trying to save our own worlds and live a little while we're here.

So go ahead and feel it. But it's also good to give your feelings the legs they need to keep you moving forward. Consider it.

So that's what you all meant by an Atlantis party. I didn't take it seriously before, but I get it now. That was a hell of a thing. I apologize to anyone that I kissed, hugged, danced with, or otherwise made uncomfortable.

I think I'm still recovering from the embarrassment.

ARENA FOLKS:

Just as a reminder - I'm still running the support groups, three times a week, and I don't plan on that stopping any time soon. I know opening up in front of a group of people can be intimidating, but it's perfectly all right if you come to listen for a bit, too. No pressure. But I will say that, from my experience with other veterans, that talking to someone who's been through similar things really can be helpful.

I would think that if Atlantis were to dump five years of memories into my head, it would have the decency to return my husband to me as well. It seems Atlantis has I have differing views on what is appropriate.

Chaire, Atlantis. I am Alexios of Sparta. And this is a very strange place. Not at all like the Atlantis I know. Unless Pythagoras is lurking around somewhere. In which case, it would be somewhat similar.
