Is there a way to take magic out of somebody completely? Atlantis has dulled people's magic before, right? I just don't think I was meant to have it and I'm honestly happy just as I am. I'm never going to be a prodigy or anything like that, so...yeah.
It's not like I haven't been practicing, but it doesn't really help much and I feel like there's a threshold you cross with magic if you don't tame it before a certain age. Free coffee for life if you can figure it out, swear down.

I have some theories.

Went for a little morning flight and got massively caught in the storm. So class is delayed because I feel like one of those Regency characters who will catch their death from standing in the rain longing for their beloved.

...Except I was having more fun, I think.

It took me ages to apparate back at home even!

I rather enjoy storms when I don't have to be out too long in them. It's a good reminder that one is alive.

It would be a good evening for reading after dinner, I think, since I no longer need fear bringing the characters to life.

Flavian and I used to go camping quite often, until but it's been years since I had the opportunity. It was a bit too cold at Christmastime. The tent is a rather nice reminder, and it's certainly warmer now. Perhaps an adventure is in order?

Before everything kind of went to hell, Caroline, Elena and I started talking about hosting something cool for everyone and we've finally worked out the details and set a date, soooo June 29th we'll be taking over Trocution to host a Decade Dance! The theme is Earth in the 1920s - if you don't know what that means, I'm sure you won't have any shortage of people ready and willing to help you shop!

No one plans a party like Caroline (and us!), so we'd better see you there!

I have to admit, the recent rainfall has done wonders in increasing the growth of fungi in the area.

I've been taking a lot of samples to see how and where they differ from what exists in my world, but if anybody here does happen to have a passing interest in mycology, I'd actually be quite interested to see what kind of things grow in your world.

I've been wondering lately if I'm in the right department.

My magic is really specialized. I'm a water user, so that's pretty much it. And it's not useless, it has some really good defensive and offensive applications, as Mia and Christian taught me, but I'm not sure how much use it is to the magic department, really, especially during situations like this month.

And magic definitely isn't all I am. I'm a princess, one of the last Dragomirs. I could fight. I could be doing diplomacy or I could go back to intake and relations, which is where I started out. So, I guess what I'm saying is that I've been thinking about a change. I really, really appreciate the chance to work with the magic teams, but I feel like maybe I could do more good elsewhere.

And maybe I could use a little advice, if anyone is willing.

After a month like this one has been, it seems especially important to share good news when we can.

I'm very happy to announce that Mara and I are expecting a baby.

Well, Atlantis.

It's time I say goodbye. I've decided to head on home late this evening when the comings and goings happen. I'm hoping by going back I'll be returned to myself and hey, might end up here again, might not, but my work and skills are better suited to the Sanctuary which is where I need to be.

I'll miss some of you, and wish all of you the best. I know you've got all the tools and people to win.
