Despite the circumstances being on a covert mission helped to get me out of this slump I've been in.

Gone are the days where I spend my hours wallowing away in pity and sadness over the loss of my family and friends. From here on out I will be a much more productive member of society.

As I said yesterday, I know this is a very difficult task having to watch everything.

Mom, I assume you have patrol shifts of your own, but with all hands on deck and me and Dimitri both patrolling full time until this is over, we're going to need help with Ivan. I know there's the daycare, but I'd feel better leaving him with someone I trust family, if we can work out a schedule around all of our jobs or whatever.

We tracked and trapped Stefan. He's currently in a bodybind and John is bringing (carrying) him in - we'll need to keep him in a secure location where he can't escape, so Caroline and Damon can do their thing. But it's mostly in their hands now.

No major injuries to report on my team, but I think we could all use some sleep when things wind down.

We tracked one of the creatures down along the beach and trapped it. Despite our efforts to keep it alive and get some answers, it died. I don't see that as much of a loss but We burned the corpse.

Eliot celebrated our partial success by taking a surprise nap so we need to get him somewhere safe now. As soon as that's done, I will be taking a nap of my own getting a few minor wounds cleaned up and checking on Leonardo, but I will be available to help any other teams soon enough.

This city is more trouble than New York.

Al, you're working with the strigoi hunters? We need an escort for another victim and the medical team at [location]. Take someone with you. Your choice. After that, contact Belikov and look into this.

The rest of you, we need to double patrols. We can't count on everyone being intelligent enough to stay off the streets.

As soon as I can get someone here to watch over Leonardo, I am heading to where he was attacked, outside the Louvre. I want to see if these things leave the kind of trail that only an Assassin's eye can see. Can you two meet me there?

Leonardo and a few others have been attacked by some kind of vampires. I am tasked with helping track down the creatures that did it, but Leonardo needs a little assistance and protection in my absence. Mostly protection. If one of you with fighting skills can help, just until these villains are caught, I would be eternally grateful. He will likely stay in the hospital overnight, but I would still feel better if someone with a weapon was nearby.

One of the charms of Atlantis was that it's not much at all like home. Oh well.

Why didn't they assign you a proper guardian? Out of all the possibilities, I'm glad it's Palm Springs, but I still don't like you being out in our world without any of us there with you.

Jill comes back with a scratch on her and you might find yourselves singing I'm A Little Teapot at the top of your collective lungs in the snow outside the base entrance wearing a banana costume every morning for a month.

I remember wondering what it would be like to live in a musical and watch people break out into song going about their day. I never thought about how distracting it would be, fantastic, but a little distracting. I don't think I've been as productive as normal.

I regret to inform you that there is a second victim of my Trouble. One of our interns, Penelope, was the unfortunate soul who told me that the coffee maker in the office is broken and there is not a drop of the stuff to be found anywhere in the building. I am walking her to Medical now and encouraging her not to cry, as she presently has her eyes sewn shut.
