I am not certain what to think about receiving my old aviator's uniform. I suppose it has its uses. It's a good warm coat, if nothing else.

I never realized how fascinating butterflies are. Many people in my own world are unaware that much of our scientists' classification of dragons is related to that of butterflies for similar reasons: coloration, markings and wing shape. I miss They are such delicate insects, and yet remarkably hardy.

Looks like I'm taking the morning off. Sorry, Leo. Can't get into the base without knowing some certain 10 numbers in order that I've never heard of before today. I'll look it up over some coffee and see about coming in later, if I feel I've got it down.

I really hope there are no more attacks. It's just so horrible.

I have never particularly sought leadership positions, but I must say it is quite heartening to be in a place where a man with a name and color such as mine can be called Commander. I shall, of course, do my best to rise to the occasion and serve both my department and the people of Atlantis well.

This is my notice that I'm well. I hope the same can be said for the rest of you.

This morning I wasn't able to wake my partner, Gabriel Reyes. He was breathing and his pulse was a little elevated but he just looked like he was in a deep sleep and wouldn't wake up. I contacted medical and he's been moved now, but is still asleep. He isn't the only one, either - I discovered Jesse McCree in the same state after he wouldn't answer text messages and medical was bringing in more when we first got here.

Check your friends, housemates and loved ones today, and please report anyone in the same condition to medical, where they will be transported and kept there for tests and monitoring. It's easy to tell you to not panic, but I won't do that - I get it. There's coffee and food here in medical for everyone visiting, along with support. Security won't tolerate aggression towards anyone here, so be on your best behavior if you want to stay, the medical professionals are doing everything they can.

But to the important reason why I am using Laurence's network access: I am afraid he has run off. It is far too cold for him to be stripping his shirt off - and this is suspicious behavior for him, I might add - and running into the woods while only communicating with grunts. I plan to follow him, but I am.. well, not inconspicuous. Any help would be most appreciated, I wish to ensure he stays out of trouble.

Everybody gets to have ridiculous banana and rain powers and I just get clumsy.

I broke my foot today, and I'm on "no weight on it for a week" at the moment. I heal fast, and I can get a boost from medical if I need it. SAM gave me a three-day-estimate. If anyone needs me, I'm hanging out at Reyes place until Friday. Maybe Saturday. Probably Friday though, because he keeps roping me into stupid board games and I can't punch him from my place on the sofa.

Oh! Er- Sorry, Heart 13, Goliath is nosy af and I didn't want to leave him alone since Reyes insisted I stay. If he bugs you, let me know or just tell him to shoo. (he likes bananas, I suggest stealing some from Hawke)

Does anyone else here celebrate the lunar new year? I enjoyed having a very English Christmas, and I would also enjoy having a very Chinese New Year. Since most of us are far from our homes and families, it seemed proper to reach out to the community at large.

Previously, if I celebrated at all, it was under the auspices of someone else's home, but I thought I might enjoy attempting the dumplings myself this year. Should any of the rest of you have interest in ringing in the Year of the Pig in Chinese style, let me know, and I will plan accordingly.

For your awareness, I will be conscripting you into helping me cook. If we start practicing folding dumplings now, we ought to be able to make pretty ones by February. Including some larger-sized examples for Temeraire, of course.

I woke up early this morning with the biggest Fruitcake craving, so I decided to bake some.

I left some on the counter for my roommates, another one on the nurse station, and baked some more for friends and anyone who wants fruitcake!

I am in desperate need of some fruitcake. Who wants to help me out here? My baking skills are totally nonexistent!

If I were anywhere but Atlantis, I'd think I was going mad Atlantis has some wonderful opportunities, even if some of its pranks are more uncomfortably obtrusive than others. I'm very pleased to no longer be made of cheese, but peppermint lattes were a pleasant discovery, and I do enjoy the company.
