Goodness, a second day? Aramis, I hope you're willing to keep Louis for a little longer.

Never in my life have I preened more, and I'm royal. Surely, that's indicative of something. Please don't judge me for my bird's antics.

Too much to hope this was going to be a one day thing. I can't deny that it's thrilling to see Atlantis from in-flight, but I'm not entirely sure how long I can refrain from the more natural instinct of a crow to steal eggs from the nests of other birds, and more than once I've tried to steal a ball off the golf course before catching myself.

Well, this is a new feeling. I’m used to having quite a bit more in the way of legs. And hair. Less feathers. The wings are going to take some work to get used to.

Between cookie competitions, baking with children, children, holiday foods, gatherings, parties, more baking, stress baking and stress eating... I need to get back into shape. A shape that isn't round.



But also I may be dead from trying to run. Never again. Running is for being chased, not fun. This one isn't for me.

Someone come fight with me, please. Fists, weapons... anything'll do! I'll even buy drinks afterwards.

Is it too late to have the history books change my name to Leonardo Auditore da Vinci, or has that ship sailed? I know time is merely relative here, but perhaps if I make a few notations at the library...

My wonderful family managed to find me a working, well-tuned piano for Christmas, which I've so enjoyed over the last day or so. Are there other musicians here who would come play with me? Music is, perhaps unsurprisingly, a bit of a rare commodity in my timeline, and it's one of the bits of 'creativity' that I'd like to explore while I have the chance.

I am pleased to announced that I, D'Artagnan, have completed all the necessary requirements for staying in Atlantis. I have even been assigned the job of Combat Field Agent to Team 12. I cannot imagine doing anything else, and I hope to serve proudly.

Team 12, I look forward to meeting each and every one of you.

I apologize if I was difficult to contact yesterday, I couldn't stop (quite literally) baking cookies. At last count, there were nineteen different types in my house, to varying degrees of success.... Most of them wouldn't be deemed edible. At least according to my toddler. (He gets much nicer as he ages. Or can simply lie a little better.)

I am sincerely sorry for taking over the kitchen, Chirrut and Mikaela, I would be happy to purchase you both dinner to make up for it.

[OOC: Yesterday Aramis had the need to bake A LOT of cookies. He can't bake, so only about 20 total are actually good.]

I've been meaning to ask about these Advent Calendars in our room. Constance and I both have one, and she explained that it it enchanted somehow and it has been giving our gifts since the beginning of the month. I received quite a lot when I first arrived, and today I received this:

It's a nice jacket, but not really practical when it's freezing out. And it doesn't seem to provide any sort of armor should I wear it into battle. What is the purpose of it then?

This one is for all my fellow witches and users of magic! It's a special time of year for us. And I know there's a different meaning in Atlantis than there is basically anywhere but I wanted to throw it out there to see if you had any traditions or holidays you celebrate that doesn't necessarily fall in with Christmas or some of the more mainstream holidays.

Usually, we light a Yule log and make sure to keep it burning all through Solstice so that we keep out spirits and other creatures that like to pierce the veil between the living and the dead when it is at its thinnest. We do lots of baking. We put up the tree. We have a fantastic dinner and tell stories until daybreak since we'll have made it through the longest night of the year.

Now, obviously I'm not burning a Yule log because that doesn't seem to fit in with this universe. I haven't encountered any unwarranted ghosts or spirits. Plus, we live in housing and fire can be pretty dangerous. But there are plenty of other Solstice festivities! I just wanted to see if you had any, if you were interested in any or if you'd uh just like to hang out.

While I always appreciate extra clothing, I don't think my outfit appropriate for the public, let alone for winter. Plus, I don't think the Qunari would approve of a Hawke wearing it.

Declan, Solaire and I have been planning food for the entire week! You're all invited to share with us, if you'd like, there's going to be more food than even I can eat, coupled with a generous amount of alcohol and movies and stories.

You don't have to come every night but it's an open invitation for all of you! The most magnificent feast is being planned for Saturday, and will more than likely leave us in a coma on the floor.

Robin and I would like to officially invite all of you to our wedding on December 22 at 1:30 pm. The ceremony will take place at [insert location here] and it will be followed by a reception that ends whenever we want it to. If you have plans for that day cancel them now because I can assure you that you’ll have a far better time celebrating with us.

I spent literally all day learning how to play the violin yesterday and got no better, so I'm giving up. This is the true teenage life, right? Totally great with that. It's way more fun learning how to punch people unconscious anyway.

I've woken up in unusual beds before, but never ones quite as nice as this.

Nor have I woken up to fantastical sights such as these. I'm not sure if I can believe it, or if I can believe that my beautiful wife is here along with my best friends. Perhaps once I am done with this intake meeting I can see them for myself. In some way.

Or maybe I'll fall back asleep and wake up back at the garrison in Paris.
