Save Atlantis RPG

Hullo. I believe I have reasoned out how to use this strange contraption. My name is Bilbo Baggins. I would say it's a pleasure to be here, but I don't rightly know where here is, other than a place called Atlantis.

Has anyone heard of Gandalf? I imagine he must be why I am here, because lately it seems I go places because of him.

Is anyone here named Harley and Rocco? Quite unique names, but then, every name is unique to the one who bears it. I suppose Bilbo is just as unique to everyone else's ears. It seems I find myself equally at a disadvantage a second time, I'm afraid. I'm learning to make new friends and learn about new places all over again.

Right. Now, to find my pipe, because what better a way to relax and learn?

Is it always this exciting around here? If only so many things like this happened back home in Seattle. I mean, being walled in is one thing. Boredom got a lot of people into trouble.

Also learned that my best friends played Dungeons and Dragons that way, but you know. Roleplaying is actually a lot of fun.

I must apologize for my previous behavior. It was some force of this place. I never would have been so blunt with many of you.

I also owe you an apology. Whatever this place did, it put us both in that situation. While I am not approving of such behavior, I can respect a woman who knows what she wants and is brave enough to go after it. That said, I...must retract my previous suggestion. I don't have the same bravery that you do.

Though I may have considered the notion, it is not who I am. How may I make amends?

But, I guess I am kind of excited about school starting soon. I've never been before.

For those of you that have already fought in a war, how do you do it? How do you go from one to another? I thought about it a lot since I've arrived. I know the work I'm doing here is important. I just thought after what happened, I'd be done with war. I still have nightmares from time to time about that night and I wonder if I'm strong enough to go through something like that again.

I was really hoping there'd be more music today, because yesterday felt like everyone woke up and thought, "what would make Sam's Monday seem less like a Monday? I know, blues music!"

Is anyone offering baby training classes? For parents, I mean. Not babies. As it gets closer, I'm realizing just how clueless I am about what to do with an infant. Sadly, Bellona's gift does not extend to taking care of babies and the books I've read are almost too much information... and I'm not sure I know how to change a diaper yet.

I am slowly figuring out technology here. Showers are a blessing in disguise. Electricity is fascinating. By flipping a single switch, you can see in the dark. Just the idea of what this place is capable of is amazing in and of itself. The fact that we are all here from different places. What I know is not what you know.

For a stranger like me, what's the most fascinating thing about Atlantis? Besides the wonders of technology. Or maybe including, because for me that's it.
