Hopefully you were able to appreciate my half-naked rain dance to the tune of a beloved Prince song, because now I have a cold and am dying, farewell good people of Atlantis! This is the worst I've ever felt in my entire life.

But to the important reason why I am using Laurence's network access: I am afraid he has run off. It is far too cold for him to be stripping his shirt off - and this is suspicious behavior for him, I might add - and running into the woods while only communicating with grunts. I plan to follow him, but I am.. well, not inconspicuous. Any help would be most appreciated, I wish to ensure he stays out of trouble.

This thing keeps changing my usual greeting to watcher so I guess I'll just say hello. Teddy said I should introduce myself here and showed me how to use this thing. Pretty ace! I'll take it over parchment and ink, yeah? Clean, and I can just erase mistakes. I like it.

Call me Tonks. Just Tonks. The directory here shows a lot of names I recognize and a lot I don't, but since I'm a mum now I need to socialize good and proper. I got here today, apparently in the middle of some kind of situation where some of your men are gone a bit mad? Not my doing, I promise. I'll be working as a Detective, which sounds a bit more descriptive than Auror, but I'll take it.

I'd like to say I'm sorry for splashing so many people yesterday with puddles of mud, but I'd be lying.

So this "device" is a) not built for comfortable web swinging (I need a sling for it or something), b) claiming Peter B. Parker is my "guardian" and that is hilarious. Never fought in a war but I gotta say this place seems way more chill than most theaters of war I know of. -_-

EDIT: If you haven't already signed up for quidditch, now that the holidays are over, we'll be selecting captains and splitting you lot into teams soon! For those of you who've missed the earlier announcements, practices are held on Saturdays at the Quidditch Pitch near the village. If you don't already know how to play and want to learn, just show up or see me, Benjy or Oliver Wood for a lesson!

The other two Daredevils are the redheads. I get a little bit in the summer, so I should give thanks to Atlantis for not giving those t-shirts out when it's warmer.

Otherwise, I was wondering if someone might give me a book recommendation? I've had years with law books, the Bible and reams of briefs. I'd like a good story.
