Usually, when I think about fixing things (I'm a mechanic at the base), I think about getting under a Chevelle or an Impala. Learning the ins and outs of circuitry and technology has been interesting. But what I'm excited about?

We got a jeep in and I have to replace the transmission. I swear, it's like Christmas.

I'm looking forward to seeing you at the dance tonight. A dance that doesn't have any murder, tragedy or inexplicably evil supernatural events. If all that happens is that I drink a shot and want to hug everyone, I accept that for what it is.

Yes, I'm attending the dance. Yes, you can offer feedback and suggestions on my clothing for the dance. Yes, I'll save you both dances if you'd like. And yes, I will try to enjoy myself. I would have mentioned something sooner, but I'm not used to being so far separate from you both and have only recently realized that I relied upon you both being close enough that you'd know immediately without admission being required. I apologize.

Isabela asked me to attend with her on the night we played cards in the cold weather. I suspect it was largely because of the push that Atlantis seems to have on the ladies, but I saw no reason to tell her no. As you know, I have been speaking with her for a few weeks now, but I assure you nothing untoward has happened between us. We talked about it and are better suited to be good friends, at least for now, as I have no desire to make her change who she is or what she enjoys. So you do not need to worry about me jumping into a relationship with someone I just met. Yes, I've seen the looks.
