I was given a book a few days ago by a stranger, I didn't have chance to read it until last night and I finished it in one sitting. If you get the time to read The Martian, do it. There's a lot more to the book than they put in the movie.

I could be persuaded to let you borrow my copy.

I'm sure you'll all be delighted to hear that the Fire Department calendar is a go again for 2019. Our wonderful leader has designated me December this time. So I get to cover the rig in tinsel.

Some of you know who I am or at least have heard of me. For those who don't, I'm Valentina Oliver, Maisie's boss.

I'm sure that you've all noticed how she hasn't seemed to find her one just yet. Nor does she appear to even be looking.

If it wasn't for her I would never have given my husband a chance. So, what I need from all of you is a few volunteers that are willing to help me find the love of her life.

I have no idea what is wrong with me. It feels like I've aged thirty years overnight. All my joints hurt, I can't remember the simplest things, and I had to buy some cheap reading glasses in order to read stuff on my computer.

I should probably stop by the clinic on the way home because this is really scary.
