[By all accounts, the fortune cookie is perfect. A perfect crinkle to the clear wrapper, a perfectly shaped cookie with just the right amount of sweetness should she choose to eat it, and it is the perfect shade of golden brown without being simply gold or overcooked brown. The fortune inside, however, is far from perfect.]

I am trying very hard not to be the disapproving older brother. The laws don't change by going to another universe.

[It shows up while he's out of the apartment. Not on his desk or near his computers (where she's usually left things for him), but propped up on his pillow. Like it's waiting to be read before bedtime.]

[As per Gwen's provided information, a delivery arrives for Flash Thompson. Firstly, the most monstrous bacon cheeseburger found in the city, curly fries included. A fresh in-the-box PS4, and a moderately-sized flatscreen television for his room because hospital TVs suck. The games included are all 25 on this list. Lastly, there is a card. Simple white, folded over, black type on the inside.]

The thumb drive is full of all the digital copies of basically all the information she has. Everything she's tracked down on HYDRA's operations within SHIELD, the work she's been doing for over a year, including projecting insight and the work that went into bringing that project down. Team Sharon, and her side missions, names, files, backgrounds on HYDRA operatives in high places that are currently no longer in those positions, others who still are and are on their way out. Others who are still under surveillance while they work on finding their way out. It's all there. Sharon's history and files, her team's history and files. There's a lot of reading materials.

Included is a hand written note.

[A simple wooden box, rough around the edges, that latches shut arrives in early afternoon. In it are two lumps of gold, each approximately five ounces. One is tagged for Max, the other for Dylan. A note rests over the lumps of gold, written in a bold hand that reads, simply, A thank you. I was not sure the cost of a phone, but I believe this should cover the price and the time I took up. Solas.]

[A card, stamped with AirMail and postmarked from Prague of all places. Inside is a simple Thank you, written in Helena's hand, and though the cards are identical, if checked they all show slight variations on the inside text to indicate that they're handwritten instead of simply copied. There's no return address on any of them.

Alfred's alone shows what might be a crumb. The cookies were damned good.]

[Gwen gets the same card as above, but on the inside hers says, Better late than never. Merry Christmas, -Hels and comes with a festively wrapped package. Inside is an empty photo album, so she might put new pictures of whatever she likes inside, a slouchy hat in bright purple, something a little science-y, something very science-y, and something fanciful.]

He leaves a fingerprint on there, just one, the fingerprint of a businessman long dead, one of the Soldier's early marks.]
