I've talked about this a bit, going back and forth, trying to talk things out, but now I'm going to make it official. I've decided that I won't be staying in Atlantis permanently. Earth still needs me, we have a lot of work to do and a lot of pieces to pick up, and I would feel more comfortable if I were actually there myself.

I won't be leaving right away. For now, I'm planning to stay on through Christmas, maybe through New Year's Eve. I owe it to everyone here to see us through some of this rebuilding period and to do what I can to make my absence easier to take.

And that's that.

I went back to the house to freshen up this morning and I was thinking about the time my family and I spent in Tuscany and how much I missed our home there when it just suddenly appeared at the edge of the housing area. When I went to explore, my old room had my Atlantis things in it! The dogs, too!

It's been a rough night, we've suffered loses. My personal condolences to those that have lost family and friends. We all feel your pain.

Sharon's mentioned what we're doing with Mako. We've set up a hospital on THE island, a safe place for kids and pets as well as homes.

If you are considering going, please arrive at the Mako entrance by 10:00 in the village. This is not the last time you'll be able to go, but it will be the first wave and I strongly encourage anyone who thinks they can help at the hospital or keep the children and pets safe on Mako to go. We need support there.

There will be other group trips to Mako and you'll get encrypted information when they are.

Be safe everyone, and keep your eyes open. We will not let COS take us down.

I'm not going to force anyone to go anywhere but we need talented doctors and medical staff on Mako.

The war isn't going anywhere and it is likely there will be more attacks. You'll be getting the worst injured as quickly as possible and you'll need to be ready.

I was really hoping there'd be more music today, because yesterday felt like everyone woke up and thought, "what would make Sam's Monday seem less like a Monday? I know, blues music!"

I know we lose a lot of people around here. I know that we all feel it because it isn't controllable a lot of the time and we're not just a group of soldiers. We're a family. That's what makes all these losses so difficult. I'm sorry if you're hurting because Bonnie left. I know I am.

And on a very logistical front, Bonnie was helping me with magic. I have a lot of power and sometimes it's hard to control. I'm getting a lot better and I'm not dangerous 99% of the time. Let's be pretty real about it too. We all know our lives keep on rolling, even when we're here in this alternate reality. I'm afraid of what my life is doing.

So, what I'm trying to say is ... magic is different. But we all kind of approach it from that same perspective of letting it flow through us and manipulating it in such a way that makes magic biddable. If someone wanted to keep helping me that would be great.
