I don't really know what they gave me, but I like it a lot. Less liking the whole healers ward thing though.

So, that was weird. Well, weird is sort of what I do. So, I guess that's kinda stating the obvious. Still, what I mean is. WE'RE IN FREAKING ATLANTIS!!!!

I mean, yeah. That's cool.

Anyway, I should introduce myself right? Right. So, hey! I'm Xander. Yeah. I know. There was the whole TV Show about my best friend. And, I'm the dorky friend. Etc etc. I know all about that. Done the whole alternate universe hopping thing before. But, the whole choice thing is a new one on me.

Anyway, like I was saying. I'm Xander. And, I'll be working as a Foreman. So, anyone working in construction. I guess I'll see you around.

I braved the snow this morning to try the Judo training. I think I'll make a regular practice of it. I'm not really sure why I never tried it out before.

Now, why did I see a couple of people being followed by what looked like stuffed monkeys?

It has been a very very long and tiring day.

Anyone else have issues arising from how I'm doing this?

Stark seems convinced I don't know what I'm doing. The metal is more than strong enough whatever technological additions you believe you need to add. I accept the need for magical reinforcement, that makes sense given our foe.

I just fail to see what good Stark's technology will do as well.

There was a sale on poinsettias today, and I thought to purchase some to brighten up our living area, but I slipped on an icy patch and landed on my bum. Now I'm resting in my room and aching all over.

Today's the anniversary of when Japanese bombed Pearl Harbour. It's a day I should never forget. My countrymen were suffering from the Nazi's air raids for quite some time, and though Great Britain petitioned the United States' assistance, there was a strong leaning toward neutrality. The consequences of this attack became the U.S.'s involvement in the war, which in turn changed the tide.

Now I am in Atlantis, with a completely different war at hand, struggling with my emotions regarding my personal involvement. What I think I'd like to say is, if the people of Atlantis saw something in me that might help them win this war, then I should like to assist them in whatever way I can.

There were lessons in judo being offered, which I was able to attend. I'd been practicing judo privately, at home. My dear wife was my sparring partner. The instructors gave me many useful tips, which I shall continue to practice on my own.

Tomorrow, there are lessons of an entirely different sort - an all day brownie baking party at the shop, Sweets. I don't know if I'll be there at 8:00 am, but I do intend to stop by to check it out, as it were.

Getting kidnapped into joining a war was not how I planned to spend my weekend. Thanks, Atlantis. You could have at least brought my sister along, too.

I'm not posting my Christmas list. I'm not seven anymore.

Today's little advent gift still doesn't compare to Rogue's pies, but it was still nice to wake up to.

For those who might be wondering, I gave in and took Bernard to the zoo, where he will be nicely taken care of by the keepers. I simply do not have the right facility in my tiny flat for a flamingo. The zoo has a first class bird habitat. And, I must say, a pretty spectacular indoor penguin exhibit. The tank is built so that you can watch them swim, under the water. I never knew they could move so fast! I admit, I'm quite taken by them They look much more distinguished than flamingos, in the their faux tuxedos.

Has anyone tried the pegasus riding lessons I heard about? I'm thinking of giving it a shot.

I didn't know to whom I should address this post, but thought it best to place in here in the event that the individuals in charge may see it, or else somebody might direct it to their attention. If I may be so bold as to make a request? If I am to stay here and assist Atlantis' cause, I should like to have my wife, Ana Jarvis, be brought. While the thought of placing her in a potentially dangerous situation is not ideal, Ana is a highly capable woman with many talents, and I'm certain she'll be a great asset. I promise to protect her to my dying breath, for I miss her very, very much. Kindly consider my request.

My fellow Golden Retrievers, as I've been told we've been called, on this cold and rainy day, I've taken it upon myself to tidy the common kitchen area. All the paper menus have been neatly arranged in alphabetical order by the name of the restaurant and put in a caddy beside the icebox, with all duplicates discarded. The drawers are now in proper order, and the floor swept and washed. Please be courteous and maintain the standard of cleanliness: I don't mind tidying the area every so often, but nobody appreciates a slovenly mess. While we're all living together, we might as well make the best of it. I hope you'll agree.

There is also an assortment of teas, both black and herbal, which I've purchased and placed in the same cupboard with the mugs. You're welcome to share, but I only ask that when a box is empty that you might toss it in the bin and replace it with a new box, so that we all might continue to enjoy.

While I'm on the subject, who would be interested in having a weekly (or perhaps bi-weekly?) communal meal?
