They underbid Wayne anywhere they can, twisting the arms of his business partners, and making their displeasure shown by forcefully overtaking the Wayne charities and clinics. The Maronis fill the streets with fresh girls and boys, drugs that are as likely to kill you as get you high, and thugs more violent than ever. The Egorovs, after their little false-stunt, re-accumulate wealth and standing with child trafficking, and Red Hood's little warehouse of well-fed orphans is a welcome addition to that crateful of children on the docks.

The daily newspapers print extra pages to cover the escalation in crime in the city, and the evening news reports run long. Police recommend citizens stay indoors at night, as GCPD can't answer all calls - there just isn't enough manpower on the force.]
