Robinson Park: Selina/Robert/Tony
Who: Selina, Robert, Tony
What: A visit
Where: Gotham, Robinson Park
When: In-progress
Warnings/Rating: Awkward?
Alright, so maybe that whole thing about Tony accompanying Robert to ensure Robert's safety was mere pretense. Selina wasn't very good at fixing broken things, but she knew Tony wasn't going to reach out with some impressive olive branch. No, Tony still lived in that place that she'd somehow vacated without even realizing it. That place where joking was everything and nothing of importance was said without being hidden beneath layers of banter. She blamed Robert, really, and maybe all that crying over Bruce, but she was much more inclined to just call a spade a spade these days. It meant that fixing this little schism with Tony wasn't going to be as easy as it would've been been once. So, she took advantage of a very convenient coincidence. And who could blame her?
Robinson Park was Gotham's version of Central Park. At 300 acres, it was impressive and well taken care of. Even in this Gotham, the groundskeepers knew better than to risk Ivy's wrath, and the park was wild, growing however it pleased, with only the center walk cleared and immaculately maintained. Selina propped the door at the No Man's Land memorial, and she found a nearby bench to claim for herself. She was winded, as much as she didn't want to be, but she'd managed a longer walk than she had in the weeks prior. As she sat, tired in denim and a emerald trench that was cinched at the waist, she felt like she might actually be swinging from rooftops soon.
It wasn't unforgiving night yet. The evening fog was just beginning to seep, and the dark Gotham sky was a vibrant red that she'd never seen in Marvel. Ominous and dangerous but, she thought, beautiful in its own sinister way. It was very Gotham, and it made it impossible to forget that this city? Had claws of its own.
