Lucky Neptune Casino
As far as casinos on Planet Vegas go, the Lucky Neptune is one of the nicer ones. That's because it's run by one of the more established gangs in the city. The slot machines are rigged and so are the card games. The house always wins and everybody seems to know it. But that doesn't stop the business from coming and the money from flowing. Why? Because the owners of the Lucky Neptune know how to lure in the people. It's also one of the only casinos in the area with the Dancing Cat slot machines, which are particularly popular among Planet Vegas's inhabitants. Why? No one knows. But who doesn't like to see pink fluffy kittens doing a jig when the jackpot hits?
It started the way most arguments start. With Loki being a smartass.
To be fair, he'd been looking for a fight ever since he'd arrived in Derleth. Not because he was particularly angry at anyone. Not because he wanted to start another war. But because he was having some difficulty dealing with his emotions. (What a surprise.) And when he saw Natasha he just couldn't help himself.
It probably wasn't the best idea on his part to throw up a Hawkeye illusion around himself and make a rather unpatriotic comment about Captain America while Natasha was at the blackjack table. But he did. And in the game of Earth's Greatest Heroes vs. The Trickster God there were no taker-backers.
He got the fight he was looking for.
Lots of damage to the casino. Including one of the Dancing Cat machines. Loki was thrown into it pretty hard - JACKPOT! - and then all of the casino's patrons went wild, scrambling to get the chips. Loki got in a few punches here or there. Cards flying. Tables flipping. Check out those smooth dagger moves. And, of course, Natasha's expert fighting skills and agility. In many ways they were evenly matched. Or maybe neither of them was really trying hard enough.
And then the hit parade for the Neptune Gang showed up and things got complicated. But! For a few minutes Loki and Black Widow fought alongside each other to hold off those mobster-style baddies until they were able to make a safe escape.
Leaving the poor casino in a shambles.
