I apologize for not being as readily available to anyone in need of medical attention this week. I seem to be afflicted with a case of severe drowsiness and am really struggling to keep my eyes open. That being said I am almost always in the clinic and will do my best to stay awake for anyone who needs help. If anyone else is experiencing this rare form of narcolepsy I can offer some mild adrenaline shots with my hypospray. Unfortunately the effects wear off rather quickly. I’m working on adjusting the dosage though.
In other news I’ve managed to complete a full molecular scan of the potion I found on my nightstand, but the results are inconclusive and not reflective of anything in my tricorder’s database. As a scientist I prefer not to just say “it’s magic.” But in this case I’m going to have to defer to the more mystical of us for a more exact answer.

Okay, if it wasn't for the weird shit with the cupcakes, I'd say this is a fantastic week if just for the food. Which one of you made all of this breakfast? It's absolutely amazing and if every week could come with all these dishes, that would be amazing, although I get that something is also forcing you to make all of it and wanting all the dishes is selfish of me. But unfortunately, I can be a pretty damn selfish person, like I used my powers to get a lot of things in my life to make it to where I am, and then it eventually backfired, so I stopped but then I had to use it when I ended up back in the 1960s with the rest of my siblings. Do you know how addictive it is to have this power when you start using it on one racist twat? No, you don't but I'm sure some of you can imagine. [...] Damn, I could have ended all bigotry back then. Even though there's the whole don't-change-the-future thing. Not that it matters because we fucked it up someway because we decided to meet up with our adoptive dad in the past before he adopted us and when we traveled back to our real present time, he had subsequently not adopted us and adopted other people?? So yeah. I think I just learned that keeping your mouth shut and holing yourself up doesn't work.

In light of recent events mainly everyone dying left and right in unreachable areas, I'm going to offer a basic first aid and injury prevention course to anyone who's interested. Elsa has kindly helped me organize a lot of the medical supplies we've collected over the last few weeks and I've set some aside to practice making braces and splints. My hope is to eventually put together a small emergency bag for anyone who can't magically heal themselves wants one. Something that would be easy to carry on your person. So, if you're interested, please let me know!
And for all of the newcomersgoodness there are so many of you, my name is Orlin Dax. Doctor Orlin Dax. You can call me Orlin or Dax or Doctor or, well, you get it. The changes I made to the pool room a couple weeks ago have stuck, so it looks like Derleth has accepted the spell.
Also, Rita and I collected a bunch of plants and flowers from dino-world, and while I hoped they would be brought to campus, I didn't expect it would happen, but it actually did. So, I'm doing some gardening inside the pool room, replacing the artificial plants I had before with these real ones. Rita, care to help? Also, I'm setting a temperature inside the room that will be conducive to healthy growth, but still comfortable for us to lounge in.

I apologize for not being available to assist with any medical emergencies. I woke up in a nest on the first day and seem to have attracted the rather stern attention of a very affectionate mother dinosaur. I think she believes me to be one of her recently hatched egglings I am working to extricate myself from the situation, but she has something of a temper. And a very hard head. But no need to worry! I think we ought to consider the possibility that there may be another solution to our problem. I've been talking to various people at the other Derleth and, well, they all seem quite keen to help. If we combined our knowledge and resources, perhaps there's a way we can all stay in this Derleth together.

Alright, so Stephen and I didn't find much on Day 1 besides large white-camouflaged creatures who looked very angry but we went back out again today and picked up where we left off (if you see glowing ice pillars marking a trail from campus, that was us) and found what looked to be a bunch of...transportation vessel parts? They were all scattered. Not much method to the madness but there could be something.
The technology of it all isn't my area but it's possible others may want to scavenge, or will find something useful for later. There's a lot to look through.
I've drawn a map/trail based on the location of campus (you are here), ice pillars, and how close the proximity is to the parts in case anyone wants to head out. It's certainly not walkable distance from what I can gauge so if you want a lift on my ice horse I can take you with me. Also if anyone has a better map than me, we can combine them.

It's still dark out right now, but I don't recommend going out unless you have adequate clothing for snow Pretty intense ice and snow. Well below freezing temperatures. I'm not sure where we are, but we're going to need a few recon teams once the sun comes up (assuming that it does) to figure out what we're looking at

The Green's completely frozen. I would not recommend crossing to any of the other buildings without proper clothing or with a portal/teleportation of sorts. Didn't get a great view in the dark, but one of the squirrels is completely frozen on Butler Hall's front steps.

I'm pretty sure a balanced diet it supposed to include like, vegetables and meat as well as carbs and fruit - and this is even questionably fruit because its so covered in sugar.
At any rate, as good as (what tastes uncannily like my mother's baking) pastries are I will happily trade some for anything with a non-sweet flavor profile.

Well, a week has passed and we’re still here.
Anyone else thinking about investing in real estate?
On a more serious note I’ve made a friend with one of the ship captains who said she’d help me take a small group to the power plant to look for some of our people. It’s not without risk, obviously. And it comes with a caveat that we help her take out a harvester machine. But I’m not doing anything else this week. So, anyone interested in a little mischief?
