NO EXITS

Well, I've always enjoyed buying incredibly expensive art, so I'm not mad about working for a museum, I guess.

A few quick questions for data:

1. Does everyone remember Derleth?
   
2. Does anyone have actual memories of their life here?
   
3. I think most of us are in the apartment building - but who isn't?

Creepy parents, who are most certainly not alive back home? Check.

I'm supposed to have dinner with them this evening and I don't want to go alone. I mean other than the obvious, there's something not right with them.

Anything else about this place that I'm missing?

Steven's gone, I think I'm cured. He's been a part of my life since I was a kid, it's weird not having him around. My thoughts are quiet.

Khonshu's gone, too. And I have some sort of administrative job at City Hall. I finally have a regular life.

Looks like I'm without magic this week, but if you need surgery, I'm the Head Surgeon at the generically named Hospital.

Y'know, there are better ways to get my attention than a kidnapping and a creepy voicemail.

Hey. There's something about me people ought to know about. I've already told a few people already and... yeah. So, some of you have met me, Marc, and others have met Steven. But they're both me. This isn't some stupid game, and I'm not faking it, but... I have a mental health issue. Psychiatrists call it Disassociate Identity Disorder. I really do have two personalities, it's not pretend.

I wasn't up front about it before since it's not the sort of thing you lead an introduction with, hello I'm clinically insane. I've had it for most of my life and I've... managed to hide what's wrong with me because I don't have any many friends back home. I'm a loner. But here, it's harder to blend in with the crowd and keep to yourself.

Things are further complicated because, like Layla who wrote about herself a couple of days ago, I'm an avatar for an Egyptian god. Khonshu. God of the moon, the night sky, and vengeance. I wasn't supposed to be anymore, but Steven and I had a talk with him last night and... I guess we're still stuck. Being an avatar means that I'm supposed to follow what he wants me to do, and in return he gives me special abilities. We're still negotiating that, since these are unusual circumstances. Besides, Khonshu's strength is derived from the moon and only works at night, and since the void really doesn't have either of those, he's pretty useless. At least during those void weeks. When we were in L.A. and in zombie world, he told me he had his usual power.

It's harder to tell us apart over the network, but we've been trying to let people know who's been writing when we've been posting comments. But Steven Grant has a British accent and uses British slang. I'm American.

And that's about it. If anybody has questions, Steven and I will try to answer.

Well, this is the first week I've experienced here in which something wasn't absolutely fucking weird by the end of the day two (and since it's past day three, I feel confident in saying that and not jinxing it), and I guess I've had moments to reflect on this whole experience and realize it's not all a fever dream from agreeing to a deal with a Goddess. (You know.. the whole can-my-body-handle-this-much-power-or-am-I-dying etc.) Besides, the fairy party introductions spilled a whole lot, didn't they?

So I'm just going to go ahead and reintroduce myself because even if it was like 3-4 weeks ago that I just showed up, it feels like I'm still super new to this place. I'm Layla El-Faouly. I'm an archeologist. My favorite part of it was the research but also stealing back artifacts from people who think they're finders keepers. I'm also an Avatar of Taweret, the aforementioned Goddess, who gives me the ability to fly and some other superhuman abilities. It was supposed to be a temporary alliance but I think I've gotten used to her being around that last week when the powers weren't working, it felt like I lost something terribly valuable. And now I'm sitting here processing that feeling. Thank you, Derleth, for this moment of quiet introspection!

I just wanted to thank everyone who helped with boosting the magic and with planting new seeds that will hopefully lead to an even more plentiful harvest than this world has seen before. I am hopeful it will stick beyond the reset, but only time will tell. It's been so wonderful to see everyone working together, and for such a good cause.

In the meantime, I think I will be spending time in the Green communing with nature. You can learn a lot by speaking with plants what it's not that weird and that whole thing with the zombies was kinda awful, I want to make sure there have been no lasting effects from all that death.

Soooo I don't really have a point to this other than to say if you're wandering around and see me talking to what appear to be nothing I'm actually talking to the trees?? I swear it's not that weird

I've met with some of you already this week, but I know several others have expressed interest in helping, and it seemed prudent to set out goals:

• DATA RESEARCH. We have data collected. This includes items that have arrived from our home timelines, the timelines that we've visited with Derleth, and in some cases our own mental & temporal energies. We're looking for connections and clues, answers that may help magic and science with what they're doing. If you are good with sorting and finding patterns, this is the place for you.

Kira... everybody... thanks for your concern. I'm alright. Really. It was a little bit between a nightmare and a memory update, and while it was intense at the time, it's okay. This is what? My third update. I know how to handle it. Hell, I've been through worse situations during our weekly outings.

You'll also notice that the Cloak of Levitation also has an updated look. Cloak is doing fine, too.

I want to rethink Mobius's work.

Before, he went through data attempting to find a timeline we could anchor ourselves to. It limited when we could attempt the jump and I think may have been why we still reset. That's not mentioning the issues a majority of us had remembering who we were.

I say we make our own timeline. We still have all the research necessary, but I was looking at the metamath, and I think this could be much more feasible without the drawbacks of attempt number one.

So if those of you who worked with Mobius are willing to work with me on this, let me know.

Uhh... so Stephen just woke up screaming and ran out of the room and I'm not really dressed enough to go after him and anyway he probably doesn't want to talk to a teenage girl so can someone who's friends with him see if he's okay?

Okay, first off, holy crap, do I feel super well rested. I mean I normally don't have any issues with sleep in general, I could probably sleep anywhere at all, but it's just particularly extra refreshing this time.

Second, why.. are we still in the void? I thought this was the week we land somewhere? Did I miss something?

Third... anyone else still got their clothes from the time the fairies tried to fuck with us at the party?

It is really good to have all of the cast and crew in the same Derleth again. And with that in mind, please officially welcome our newest cast members and new castings:

• Robin will be replacing Richie as Borachio
  
• As understudy, Allison will now be Hero after Rita’s departure
  
• Luz will be replacing Allison as Margaret
  
• And Thor will be covering Messenger One’s lines

Additionally, Steve, Chris, and Silena will be assisting with set design, construction, make-up and costumes.

The good news is that all of the things that we did during the week in 1945 are still present, that means the costumes we picked up, the set pieces, everything is still in Peaslee Theatre. For those of you who weren’t there in that week, we did pick up clothing for the costume room generally, so there’s a good chance you’ll find something that we can use for costumes.

The other good news is that we have not lost any additional cast members. With this being a rest week, I am proposing that we aim for a performance at the end of the week. We’ll rehearse daily, afternoons and evenings and I’ll work up a more detailed scene rehearsal list for the first three days, and we’ll run full performances (hopefully twice through) on the fifth and sixth days with performance on the final night and maybe we’ll invite everyone to the cast party afterwards, cause I’m with Allison, we need more parties.

Questions, thoughts, concerns? I’m thinking we should start tomorrow afternoon.

Since the kitchen & the pantry are stocked, you'll find me in the kitchen (at least for breakfast & dinner most days). Many hands make light work, so if you like to cook, I'd love company. If you just want to taste whatever we come up with, that's fine too. If you've never cooked or can't even boil water, I'll be happy to teach you. There's always prep work and dishes.

Up for some teamwork in the kitchen?

Okay, so Loki and I took a jog around campus this morning. Everything seems to be normal void behavior at the moment. Nothing's overly large, we both have our memories, and the magical sky the other Loki made is still out. Somehow even more serene. Kitchens are stocked as usual (even has some of the fresh veg and fruits we snagged in Los Angeles, it seems), the pool's back to the way Strange made it, and the Green is full of its interesting creatures. And the squirrels.

All in all, it's pretty nice out after the last two weeks.

Now, that's not to say that something won't happen. We all know that things have happened at various points during void weeks, so just be aware that it's possible something will happen. At this point, it's almost a guarantee.

I'd like to propose something. Some of us have been in Derleth a long time in Derleth standards. I think it's time we take Strange's idea and expand on it. Keyleth's help last week with growing the vegetables and fruit for the survivors made me think this is something we should do here. I'm going to be taking out some trees and planting some various seeds. Keyleth, I was hoping you'd be interested in helping me test to see if it'll stick around after the next reset. If it does, we can expand the area a bit for a variety of things.

On the subject of Mobius's disappearance: You all know that Mobius and Eliot were working on a way to get a stable place for us. Mobius has disappeared, but his work is still here. Anyone with science knowledge would be helpful in looking over his notes and seeing what we can do to keep that going. Stability is something we take for granted, so I'd like to get back on track with that.

And finally, I'd like to work on the campus a bit. Maybe do some repairs on buildings, like the Greenhouse. The windows are busted there, and I'd like to keep the orchids and elf weed there. Whatever needs a hot house. I'm not really a plant expert, so if you have any experience, I'd love a few volunteers.

And thirdly, if this is your first time at the "real" Derleth, welcome home.

Good News: Ed and I found some tins of food (no telling what they are or if they're still good) and some other random supplies. They're in the kitchen.

Bad News: Zombies might not be our only problem. Ran into some not-zombies who are fairly well armed and unfriendly. Seemed to be human, but didn't stick around to find out.

Exploring northeast I found decent enough sized stream near what was probably a high school. It took me around an hour to walk there - might take less time under different circumstances, but there's a lot between here and there.

I can't guarantee cleanliness at this point, but if we could start fires, we could boil it.

If there's a group that's willing to come out with me, let's make that today's priority. Also, any ideas on transport - I'm open to hearing them.

There's been some talk about trying to move people from the first floor up to higher floors, just as an added measure of security. There seem to be enough empty rooms on higher floors - plus some peoples roommates are still in the void. It might not be the worst idea.



At least the stars here are familiar - which makes nighttime navigation easier. If anyone needs a crash course in navigating by the stars or finding the north star, let me know.

Some of us made a rough map of the area yesterday. It's incomplete, but hanging next to the doors inside Butler. Feel free to add to it.

Is everyone back okay?

Good morning Derleth and welcome to an exciting new week. So far we have determined that we have:

• No power
• No running water
• No food
• No medical supplies

Signs are that there has been some fighting, but hard to say yet if that was the main cause of the situation or a consequence in the aftermath of whatever went down. A lot of us have done this dance before but for anyone who's newer, standard guidelines for a hostile environment - don't go out alone/without telling anyone, advise everyone of any useful information or resources you find, and food and medicine go a lot further when they're handled centrally. If you think you need a weapon or if you have extra you can loan out let us know.

We'll probably want to make bandages from any spare linens we've got around and dig latrines a bit away from the buildings. We can collect limited clean water from toilet tanks if someone hasn't thought of that already, otherwise we need to find a source and set up a means of filtration. If you find large sheets of paper and things to draw with get them to the cafeteria, between scouts and arty types we can try to come up with a map of the area so we know where's good and where to avoid.

Another note for newer people: if you look at the icons on your screen there should be one that links to the skills list. It looks like it might need updating, so if you want to add yourself anywhere leave a comment for Nat.

Last thing for now, if your roommate is one of the ones who didn't come back from the ball please confirm they're safe.

I've been to the Feywild. I'd dreamed of going since I was a boy and it lived up to its expectations. It was everything I ever wanted. The Feywild was charming, if untrustworthy, and I say that as someone who was temporarily blinded upon arrival there. The Feywild was beautiful, vibrant, enchanting.

This place looks like someone drained the color from the Feywild and made it somehow even less trustworthy. As someone who's made some regrettably bad deals in his past, be careful who you talk to and what you agree to here. The contracts will be more binding than you realize.

Just to let everybody know... a couple of weeks ago when those cupcakes appeared in our rooms and cursed whoever ate them in various ways, I was cursed to have a very detailed dream whenever I fell asleep. In this dream, I attended an extravagant ball where I danced the entire time, but when I awoke my body was sore and ached with pain, which got worse after each dream. When, in my dream, I tried to stop dancing, or attempted to leave, I would be caught up again by the other guests and forced to continue dancing.

I bring this up because the clothes I received today are exactly the same ones I wore in my dreams. I realized the shoes were also the same, but I didn't want to jump to conclusions but today practically confirms it in my mind... the person or people who are throwing this party are the same ones responsible for those cupcakes, so we need to keep in mind the level of magic that we're dealing with here.

So, who else really wants to go to the ball?

Also if anyone else is inclined towards checking how poisonous the foliage is I can teach the universal edibility test so you figure it out before you eat it.

Has, uh, has anyone seen my friends? One of them is an eight foot goliath so SUPER difficult to miss him. Oh, um right. I'm Keyleth and I think I'm kinda lost??

Since it's definitely been noticed, I'm going to go ahead and go out and search for food as well. The dormitories, I think look stable enough, I've seen ruins in the worst shape but if you feel more comfortable camping outside, I'd say let's work on getting those shelters set up. I'll see what supplies I can find while I'm out.

Anyone's welcome to join me. How are we on medical supplies? If there are herbs and plants that I recognize, I'll bring some back with me.

So running to the kitchen for a snack seems like it's not a thing right now. Anyone up for trying to find where breakfast is? Because now that I started to think about it, I'm really hungry.

Things have taken a turn for the interesting. I'm going scouting to find out what's out there, considering it looks like it's been growing for decades out there.
