Welcome to the jungle Derleth if you haven't been here before. Sorry about the dorm arrangements, we have no control over that. You can sleep where you want most of the time but every reset you'll end up back where you are now. Yes, there's a big void outside the campus. This happens every second week. You can try walking into it but distance doesn't really seem to be a concept that exists in there and it's really unnerving. There might be something living in there, or maybe just Your eyes play tricks on you a bit. The forest's decent though and there's some animals living in there.

Cafeteria's downstairs, you can handle your own meals but occasionally someone will turn up and start cooking, which is usually better, especially since the kitchen's designed for big batch cooking. If no extra clothes came back here with you there's supplies in Peaslee Theatre.

At the risk of tempting Derleth's wrath (or sense of irony), I'd like to take this moment of down time to suggest something. It's come to my attention that there's a lot of people who don't know where to go when in need of various skills. Magical healers, doctors, wizards/magicians/sorcerers, people who can sew or cook, etc.

Basically, I'd like to organize those of you who would want to volunteer your skills to the other Derleth residents. You don't have to volunteer if you're not comfortable with people knowing what you can do, but for those of us who would, I'd like to give them a place.

Then maybe the Welcoming Committee could add this to their note, and we could add it as a pinned sort of post on the network so that it's there when you need it.

Anyways, I guess first thing's first. Hi, I'm Ben. I got here last week, but totally felt I missed whatever window there was for an intro because, well, y'know, the ghosts and all.

I have a few errands I need to do, but in the spirit of collaboration, where my techies and mechanics at? I drew up some schematics of what we had for cryo-pods back home and this seems like a good place to do some scavenging for supplies. Luckily, at least for what I was looking at, the harder to find stuff won't be a worry thanks to Elsa being so cool, but I was thinking some more permanent structures as well as some monitoring devices could be a good addition, as then they could also double as stasis pods to maybe keep any badly hurt people stable until we can get the healers in to help. Obviously that's just one project and I'm sure there's other back up supplies that everyone could use.

With a box of scraps*, I have made two (2) more proton packs. I still only have one trap but it takes at least three (3) people to catch a ghost.

Most of us have, somewhat miraculously, washed up on an island none of us even saw from the battle at sea. We're still figuring out the logistics of the little things people need; food, shelter, fresh water. At least it's only two more days.

No, none of us knows that this means for the reset. The closest the campus came to being completely demolished was about half, and that was months ago. One of the dorms never came back and was later replaced with a black monolith. But new arrivals appear to be showing up on the island with us so...

Maybe that's a good sign? Fuck if I know.
