Just going to make sure this isn't a dimension run by a secret cabal of vampires or whatever first. Not sure how we're supposed to feel about the locals here just yet. About the sword.

Vax and I had thrown some ideas around since it stuck with me, and so far nothing has really seemed to work. The week we were in Irkalla I just had it. That week it was easy to attune to it and that week, it very much felt like it belonged to me and that we were connected. I wasn't (fortunately) in a lot of places where I needed to use it, or do anything with it, but I think it has a fair amount of power.

Since I've come back, I've not been able to attune to it. It works really well as a sword, but I don't know if it's just that I'm not a half-elf (I was that week), or that I'm not magical, or if there's something else. Or maybe it only had those properties in Irkalla, but I don't think that's it.

Anyway, that week when we were all getting visions of like other lives, there was one where Vax and I were on a quest together - the sword was a family sword, it had been lost and I was looking to retrieve it and bring it back to my Father. I can add more about that, but it feels like it might be relevant.

The longer we're here the more creeped out I get by this place. I can't stop noticing flies now. And I'm kind of wondering what would happen if I tried to hand someone a few spiders or beetles or ants.

This is going to sound like a dumb question, but here's my dumb question.

Do you notice the flies? Have you seen any since we got here?

I haven't been so disappointed in the make of bullets since I made my very first batch. These wouldn't even injure anyone. The gun's not too shabby, though. Not quite as nice as my design, but it'll do. Never hurts to add another to the collection.

Out of curiosity, did anyone have any flashes of this world last week?

How are you doi I already miss Ke I'm so selfish but I You know, I had the strangest dream just before reset. It may have been a flash of a possible timeline, but it was a little too out there to be believable. Even after everything I've seen since we arrived here.

I've been staring at this movie poster in my living room this entire week and it just occurred to me that the sword my character, Leoren Silverwatcher, carries is my moonblade from Irkalla.

Also I found our costumes from Much Ado at a thrift store of all places. So I guess if we're trying to figure out if things from Derleth are here, that stuff is.

Hey there, dream team. How's it looking for everyone this week? Thought I ought to check in early.

CIRI:
Doing all right? Figured I'd check on you after last week. And make sure you haven't ended up anywhere intolerable this week, that seems like it's hit or miss for everyone.

I just wanted to thank everyone who helped with boosting the magic and with planting new seeds that will hopefully lead to an even more plentiful harvest than this world has seen before. I am hopeful it will stick beyond the reset, but only time will tell. It's been so wonderful to see everyone working together, and for such a good cause.

In the meantime, I think I will be spending time in the Green communing with nature. You can learn a lot by speaking with plants what it's not that weird and that whole thing with the zombies was kinda awful, I want to make sure there have been no lasting effects from all that death.

Soooo I don't really have a point to this other than to say if you're wandering around and see me talking to what appear to be nothing I'm actually talking to the trees?? I swear it's not that weird

So, um, we never got the chance to really talk after that whole weird fae ball thing. But you were, like, really good with all of that storytelling at the game night? So I guess I just wanted to say hi and yeah this is really awkward I'm so sorry.

This is all very exciting, but I do wonder what happened to my friends. Surely Imogen at least has to be here as well. Has anyone seen a strong, beautiful, talented woman with purple hair? Well, I suppose it's more like purple stubble right now which is also very lovely and suits her and makes her look tough.

She is very capable and can take care of herself. But also, if anything has happened to her, I will gauge out the eyes of anyone who has laid a finger on her.

So... just so we're clear, this is what it usually looks like? Nice sky, small area. Stocked kitchen. Warded rooms. (Hi Vax! I promise not to try and talk your ear off every morning. I'm also going to try and shower before you wake up. If I can. I don't know your sleeping habits so I may be way off on this. But I will try!)

It's nice. I mean, nicer than the last two weeks anyway. Toon Town was pretty neat. Weird as hell, and I'm still not over 2D cartoons being in the 3D world. I kind of wish I'd been able to find and keep Jerry as my very own mischievous pet mouse. I love him.

So we (potentially) have five more days of quiet? Just getting to relax?

Okay. So, seems like a lot of you want to learn the best card game ever invented, but nobody here really knows how to play apart from yours truly. That should change, everybody loves Wicked Grace.

There's some kind of production being worked on, so because I'm a fan of the theater I'm gonna host a game after tomorrow's evening rehearsal. Anybody's welcome to come and play, found one of those classrooms with a big table and plenty of chairs.

As a bonus, Thor, God of Thunder is bringing ale. Apparently he's got quite a stash and wants to share it. Everybody should thank that kind of generosity before the game starts, since things can get a little competitive once people start picking up the game.

I'm gonna recommend we start with small stakes, so we'll keep the learning rounds in good fun. Otherwise, bring a purse with whatever you're willing to lose once the stakes start being legitimate.

UPDATE OF TERMS

Shit, I really underestimated how eager for distraction everybody was. Look, I only have the one deck, so at a certain point I'll have to cut off the guest list for tomorrow's game or we can't play a real round anyway.

I already got confirmations from a few people I'd spoken with last week, so next not-one-of them is in, too, and then sadly I'll have to start a list for any further interested parties. Set up something next day or so on. If interest keeps up, I'll see about getting some additional decks to keep around.

Okay, so Loki and I took a jog around campus this morning. Everything seems to be normal void behavior at the moment. Nothing's overly large, we both have our memories, and the magical sky the other Loki made is still out. Somehow even more serene. Kitchens are stocked as usual (even has some of the fresh veg and fruits we snagged in Los Angeles, it seems), the pool's back to the way Strange made it, and the Green is full of its interesting creatures. And the squirrels.

All in all, it's pretty nice out after the last two weeks.

Now, that's not to say that something won't happen. We all know that things have happened at various points during void weeks, so just be aware that it's possible something will happen. At this point, it's almost a guarantee.

I'd like to propose something. Some of us have been in Derleth a long time in Derleth standards. I think it's time we take Strange's idea and expand on it. Keyleth's help last week with growing the vegetables and fruit for the survivors made me think this is something we should do here. I'm going to be taking out some trees and planting some various seeds. Keyleth, I was hoping you'd be interested in helping me test to see if it'll stick around after the next reset. If it does, we can expand the area a bit for a variety of things.

On the subject of Mobius's disappearance: You all know that Mobius and Eliot were working on a way to get a stable place for us. Mobius has disappeared, but his work is still here. Anyone with science knowledge would be helpful in looking over his notes and seeing what we can do to keep that going. Stability is something we take for granted, so I'd like to get back on track with that.

And finally, I'd like to work on the campus a bit. Maybe do some repairs on buildings, like the Greenhouse. The windows are busted there, and I'd like to keep the orchids and elf weed there. Whatever needs a hot house. I'm not really a plant expert, so if you have any experience, I'd love a few volunteers.

And thirdly, if this is your first time at the "real" Derleth, welcome home.

Is there anyone willing to watch my dog? I'd like to go out scavenging and maybe finding some better animals for, you know, the arrowing, but I don't wanna risk him getting zombie-handled.

As it turns out, guns are a bad idea against these zombies. While they are efficient in killing them, the noise draws more and more. The fact that they move slowly is definitely a saving grace. Stay quiet, stay in pairs or groups (I'm talking to you, Vax), and find any long-range weapon you can.

If I find the right supplies, I could probably rig up a decent ballista, but it would take me a few days. If anyone else has suggestions for building up our defenses on campus, let me know. We really don't want the undead to get too close.

There's been some talk about trying to move people from the first floor up to higher floors, just as an added measure of security. There seem to be enough empty rooms on higher floors - plus some peoples roommates are still in the void. It might not be the worst idea.



At least the stars here are familiar - which makes nighttime navigation easier. If anyone needs a crash course in navigating by the stars or finding the north star, let me know.

Some of us made a rough map of the area yesterday. It's incomplete, but hanging next to the doors inside Butler. Feel free to add to it.

Has anyone seen Loki? My Loki, not the long haired one or the alligator. We usually do our resets on the roof, but when I got there, there was just a scorch mark on the roof. He never showed up. There was no notice that he disappeared.

He's not answering his door, and he's not on the roof of the theater. His old roommate left, and I don't know who his new one would be.

All right, everyone. I went snooping outside the boundaries of the campus since it doesn't look particularly void-y (I know, I know... don't go anywhere alone, it's a flaw and I swear I'll work on it one of these days when it comes back to bite me harder than I feel like it should) and aside from everything we already know, positive or negative? I have good news, bad news, and worse news. We'll just go in that order, shall we?

GOOD NEWS: It seems we're in a town? City? ...there are buildings around, but I didn't go so far as to find out just how large a settled place we're situated in. Not the middle of nowhere at least, so it might be easier to scavenge ourselves a few things.

BAD NEWS: "Buildings" is about the most descriptive I can be of what's out there in the immediate vicinity. What's around looks long abandoned and in terrible shape, and at least the places closest to us look absolutely torn apart for supplies.

WORSE NEWS: I didn't see many people. Any people, perhaps? I don't know how much experience everyone has with the undead, but what people I did see seemed... that. Shambling, maybe not entirely whole but still making their way around, much more interested in a slow lurch in my direction than conversation. There were only a couple of them that I saw, but I didn't stick around to let them get close enough for a better look at them. I took the most roundabout way back here I could, so hopefully I lost them before I could lead them to our collective doorstep.

So... there's some information for us. Definitely seconding the below wisdom of not venturing out alone, especially if you're keen to get a better look at what's out there. (You know how it is, do as I say and not as I do. Let me learn from your example. Other sage words so you won't get yourself killed out there.)

Alright, well I guess most of you noticed by now that there seems to be two Derleths, one here in the void and another one with the location Sam was describing.

I can't believe I have only just noticed the radiant beauty of Kate Bishop. I know I haven't been blind this whole time, so I can only assume that I've been a foolish man. I could lose myself in those eyes and wish never to be rescued. This must be what love feels like.

Much Ado cast, ultimately last week seemed a little difficult to get us all together considering some of you didn't even remember auditioning, so we're going to have our first meeting this evening (hopefully), if Delerth cooperates.
