I'll likely take a second trip to Boston for the less reasonable requests and club-hopping later this week. Just going to make sure this isn't a dimension run by a secret cabal of vampires or whatever first. Not sure how we're supposed to feel about the locals here just yet. Something has to go wrong, right?

I haven't been so disappointed in the make of bullets since I made my very first batch. These wouldn't even injure anyone. The gun's not too shabby, though. Not quite as nice as my design, but it'll do. Never hurts to add another to the collection.

How are you doi I already miss Ke I'm so selfish but I You know, I had the strangest dream just before reset. It may have been a flash of a possible timeline, but it was a little too out there to be believable. Even after everything I've seen since we arrived here.

I hope you all like horses and dirt. Seems like we're in a small settlement in the old west called Sweetwater. Few people out late at night, but they're coming around this morning. Most of them seem pretty polite, but there appears to be an outlaw around these parts called Hector Escaton. He's got a gang, so I'd be concerned about that.

More importantly, I don't seem to have my super strength anymore. Anyone else having that issue?

I don't know what this is. I certainly hadn't intended to leave my husband all alone. And now I'm having...they aren't dreams, but they aren't visions like I'm used to. And I'm- I got the voicemail. And the letter. But they don't really explain anything.

Hello there. I'm looking to make friends among the people my age here. I'm sixteen and a half so I think anyone from fourteen to eighteen would be good for this. I wanted to see if anyone wanted to get together and get to know one another. We could play a game or some other sort of ice breaker. I've found that you learn a lot about a person's character when they're put into unfamiliar locations. At least, that's what my Pathfinding chief would say. (Then again, she was right.)

If there's any interest, I'd like to put something together for the seventh day, before dinner.

Welcome to the jungle Derleth if you haven't been here before. Sorry about the dorm arrangements, we have no control over that. You can sleep where you want most of the time but every reset you'll end up back where you are now. Yes, there's a big void outside the campus. This happens every second week. You can try walking into it but distance doesn't really seem to be a concept that exists in there and it's really unnerving. There might be something living in there, or maybe just Your eyes play tricks on you a bit. The forest's decent though and there's some animals living in there.

Cafeteria's downstairs, you can handle your own meals but occasionally someone will turn up and start cooking, which is usually better, especially since the kitchen's designed for big batch cooking. If no extra clothes came back here with you there's supplies in Peaslee Theatre.

Okay, after that week, I'm happy to say I'm totally fine with how I am. I mean, not talking about the werewolf thing although its been so long, I can't remember how it feels anymore but the magic? I'm good without magic. Just my normal werewolfy dagger-making Fen self is absolutely fine.

But anyway, way to go team! We're back on campus. People who died last week for the first time, I'm so sorry. It never gets easy experiencing it but I hope you all are mentally okay now that you're up. After the usual people do recon of the campus to make sure everything is okay, I might go out to the Green (assuming its the same) and do some knife-throwing if anyone wants to join me to participate or learn.

I just wanted to thank everyone who helped with boosting the magic and with planting new seeds that will hopefully lead to an even more plentiful harvest than this world has seen before. I am hopeful it will stick beyond the reset, but only time will tell. It's been so wonderful to see everyone working together, and for such a good cause.

In the meantime, I think I will be spending time in the Green communing with nature. You can learn a lot by speaking with plants what it's not that weird and that whole thing with the zombies was kinda awful, I want to make sure there have been no lasting effects from all that death.

Soooo I don't really have a point to this other than to say if you're wandering around and see me talking to what appear to be nothing I'm actually talking to the trees?? I swear it's not that weird

Yes, I know there are a lot of you and some of you have big appetites.


Since the kitchen & the pantry are stocked, you'll find me in the kitchen (at least for breakfast & dinner most days). Many hands make light work, so if you like to cook, I'd love company. If you just want to taste whatever we come up with, that's fine too. If you've never cooked or can't even boil water, I'll be happy to teach you. There's always prep work and dishes.

Up for some teamwork in the kitchen?

Okay, so Loki and I took a jog around campus this morning. Everything seems to be normal void behavior at the moment. Nothing's overly large, we both have our memories, and the magical sky the other Loki made is still out. Somehow even more serene. Kitchens are stocked as usual (even has some of the fresh veg and fruits we snagged in Los Angeles, it seems), the pool's back to the way Strange made it, and the Green is full of its interesting creatures. And the squirrels.

All in all, it's pretty nice out after the last two weeks.

Now, that's not to say that something won't happen. We all know that things have happened at various points during void weeks, so just be aware that it's possible something will happen. At this point, it's almost a guarantee.

I'd like to propose something. Some of us have been in Derleth a long time in Derleth standards. I think it's time we take Strange's idea and expand on it. Keyleth's help last week with growing the vegetables and fruit for the survivors made me think this is something we should do here. I'm going to be taking out some trees and planting some various seeds. Keyleth, I was hoping you'd be interested in helping me test to see if it'll stick around after the next reset. If it does, we can expand the area a bit for a variety of things.

On the subject of Mobius's disappearance: You all know that Mobius and Eliot were working on a way to get a stable place for us. Mobius has disappeared, but his work is still here. Anyone with science knowledge would be helpful in looking over his notes and seeing what we can do to keep that going. Stability is something we take for granted, so I'd like to get back on track with that.

And finally, I'd like to work on the campus a bit. Maybe do some repairs on buildings, like the Greenhouse. The windows are busted there, and I'd like to keep the orchids and elf weed there. Whatever needs a hot house. I'm not really a plant expert, so if you have any experience, I'd love a few volunteers.

And thirdly, if this is your first time at the "real" Derleth, welcome home.

Magicians/Wizards/Sorcerers/Mages: Do any of you have skills in growing things? I suspect the survivors' base probably has some fields growing food, considering there's no much to scavenge around here. Anyone wanna give them a boost? I know magic is on the fritz, but we can try.

Donations: I'm not asking anyone to give up their rations, but if you find it in your heart, we're taking donations of anything useful to supply drop on the survivors we've found. They're skittish as both Pike and Steever have mentioned, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't try to help them. We have two and a half days left here, they have who knows how long. Anything you wanna donate, I'll be waiting with boxes.

Fliers: Sam Wilson has volunteered, but if anyone else can, it would be much appreciated.

Any of the other fliers feel like their flying is reliable enough for a short trip? I'd like to see if we can find anything different if we get out of town a bit, maybe even something we can offer the nearby groups of survivors that they can't get easily if we're going to try making contact with them, though obviously feeding us is going to be a priority. I think we're down three and up two so far this week and there's still two and a half days left. Relatedly, does anyone need anything specific that might otherwise get overlooked?

Can someone help, please? There's a group that went to check out a mall and they're going to run into zombies, but I can't reach them, none of them are responding but I still see them on the screens. They're fine for now, but they won't be.

As it turns out, guns are a bad idea against these zombies. While they are efficient in killing them, the noise draws more and more. The fact that they move slowly is definitely a saving grace. Stay quiet, stay in pairs or groups (I'm talking to you, Vax), and find any long-range weapon you can.

If I find the right supplies, I could probably rig up a decent ballista, but it would take me a few days. If anyone else has suggestions for building up our defenses on campus, let me know. We really don't want the undead to get too close.

Right now it seems like the campus is safe enough and I think it's better for all of us if we keep it that way, so I want to organize patrols to keep the perimeter as secure as we can. With at least some watches through the night to keep us from being surprised until we know exactly how bad the whole zombie situation is and if anything else is waiting to see if we're really bad at this. I know we'll have people out scouting for food and water, but if everybody goes out at once and comes back to find we have a big problem then it's sort of useless.

Let me know here if you want to sign up. I want to set up at least pairs and keep the turns as short as I can so nobody gets too tired and misses something, but I guess it depends on how many people want to help. We can work out weapons when we know who has them and who doesn't, and if you have special training in stealth and survival things then tell me that too. Night time is going to get interesting with no lights and I don't want to send anybody out who doesn't know what they're doing. And no lying - it doesn't hurt me right away if you lie, but it could probably kill you, so. Don't do that.

( PATROL ASSIGNMENTS )

So this is a post for all the magic users out there.

I'm attempting to work on the magic issue. There are, as far as I can tell, two possible causes.

One: The flow of magical energy is basically non-existent. Unless any of you have acquired any personal stores of energy or batteries on you, or want to try your hand sleeping with one of the resident gods, there's not much that can be done about that.

Two: The circumstances of the planet are fucked. Thankfully, I do have Brakebills' very own circumstance control panel. If anyone would like to try and provide assistance, I'll get it set up in the library. It has a short range but maybe we can use it to get some wards back up around campus.

And if anyone else has any ideas...?
