The letter says says we're in a pocket dimension of Derleth University, but I'm in a small quarters I don't recognize. The city outside does not resemble a system I am familiar with.

And I take umbrage in this part of your note: "Taking out any frustration or aggression on us would likely not go well for you." It is, quite frankly, hostile and is not at all Welcoming.

Are you in an apartment building? Most of the people ended up there when we got transported to this version of Derleth. As far as I know, this current place isn't familiar to anyone here.

Not my note, but you're right there. That's good old 'we can do this the easy way or the hard way' talk.

Yes and no? Usually the university is more obviously around, but this time it's... somewhere we don't know... Each week we're in this 'pocket dimension', the setting is slightly different though. Others have been here longer, but since I got here, we've been in an Earth city from the past, a magical realm version of Derleth, a dead world with dead people walking around, what apparently was a normal inbetween week where it's just the university with nothing else around, and then here.

Every second week we're in Derleth inside a kind of void. The other weeks, sometimes Derleth is placed in a wider world and sometimes it looks a lot different or we can't find it at all.

Well. So I arrived last week and it more like a quasi-abandonned and overgrown university. Supposedly before that it was an abandoned city overrun by monsters. This week it appears to be a city. This week it is... this place we are now.

It appears the setting changes, but we arrive as we are now each week. So if you came with, say a package of gum, and eat it, you'll have it back next week.

It's hard to know what answers to seek in a situation such as this. Not all answers offered clarity.
