So, given the collection of magic items from last week, I thought you might be interested in something that showed up from home. It's a Circumstances Control Panel. Before we broke the moon, it was used purely for teaching purposes; a spell that can only be cast on a full moon? The control panel can mimic the external magical circumstances required in a small area so the spell can be cast any day of the week.
Given the nature of horomancy, also the different worlds we end up on, not to mention the strange circumstances within the void itself, I thought it might help.
On the seventh day at precisely 1:32 AM, the campus once more resets. Everyone trapped in the experiment falls unconscious (if not sleeping already) only to wake up sometime afterward in their assigned bed, in their assigned room, in their assigned dorm, as themselves, in the exact condition they arrived in, wearing the precise clothing they arrived in.
Gone is the chaos or excitement of the previous week. What remains of Derleth University has returned to its gentle void so all its guests may recuperate peacefully. The dining hall kitchens have been restocked, and all is mostly well again at Derleth.
Unfortunately, it looks like the new version of Butler is here to stay. On the plus side, the cool clothing and swag you picked up from the last world is still around.
And then…?
Day One passes without incident.
Day Two passes without incident.
Oh my god, are you actually getting a calm week where nothing happens? People can take a moment to relax. The Science and Magic Types can calmly work on their “Unfuck Derleth” project without distractions?
Well, almost.
Day Three comes along and … I guess someone activated a cursed object again? It’s been a while, hasn’t it? Some of you might get out of this unscathed, but for the rest of you, one of three things happens.
OPTION ONE: FULL BODY SWAP
You wake up in someone else’s body, they wake up in yours. That’s right, it’s the classic Freaky Friday scenario. For the rest of the week, you’re going to have to navigate getting around in someone else’s body. That also means you’re staying in their room for the rest of the week, too.
OPTION TWO: POWER/SPECIES SWAP
Slightly less drastic than the body swap, maybe the curse didn’t get a direct hold on you? But you and one other person swap powers. Maybe they didn’t have powers to swap and you’re a vanilla human now, who knows! At least you get to stick in your own body/room.
OPTION THREE: PSYCHIC LINK
For the first few minutes, you might think you got out of this unscathed like the lucky ducks of option four. Then you start to hear thoughts that aren’t your own. Perhaps the swap was starting to happen, but for some reason didn’t take complete hold. What is this psychic link going to look like? How strong is it? That’s up to the players of the two linked characters. It could be as gentle as just hearing the occasional thought or as weird as occasionally astrally projecting on accident and following that person around like a psychic ghost on occasion. Maybe it’s a full blown Sense8 scenario for the week. Mind powers are weird.
OPTION FOUR: NADA
Alright, you lucky ducks. Some of you might not have gotten hit by the curse at all. Why? It’s hard to say. Looks like the magic behind this one might have been unstable? It affected other people differently. Weird.
HOW TO SIGN UP
You have four OOC days below to discuss and sign up. You can either talk with other players and come up with pairings and the cursed effect on your own or you can comment in the RANDOMIZE ME section to be paired up with a random character.You do not have to sign up any or all of your characters. It’s up to you how many of your characters you want to mess with if you have multiples. Don’t have time? No problem, your character just gets a normal rest week. (Or abnormal… I haven’t done a rest week in ages. Oops.)
MOD CHALLENGE
Alright folks signing up for this plot, here is my modly challenge:Don’t swap with your character’s main line/ship.
It’s not a requirement. If you have a super amazing, solid idea, I’m not going to ban you from doing the thing you’re super hyped about. However, I will encourage you to use this opportunity to try and develop or build a secondary line for your character. Because regardless of who you swap with, you’re probably still going to interact with your closest lines anyway, yes?
Do your best. This is a side eye free challenge. Ultimately, this game is for having pretendy fun times to get a break from living in the darkest timeline. 😘

What gives?I've run and seen these types of plots enough to know that if I make such a space someone will post "I'm looking for this!" and ... then nothing. When no one replies to them, they'll get their feelings hurt. If you want to swap your characters you need to be proactive and ask people or sign up to be randomized. I refuse to let people wallflower and feel sad. (Dude, I don't want to wallflower and feel sad.) So no passive "looking fors" for you!
