Hey, guys! This IC/OOC is for the events that directly follow the four logs that were just posted. Please don’t read below the cut until you have read those logs or unless you are okay with being spoiled.

Okay! Since not everyone present got to log and because there will be WPD members present, we wanted to toss this up so that people had a place to work out details!

Since it’s a holiday weekend/week for a lot of us and people are understandably busy, we’re FORWARD-DATING the logs that were just posted and this IC/OOC to THURSDAY JULY 6TH As such, we ask that you please refrain from posting until then, especially since there are still things that need to be clarified by all the players involved.

Sorry I've been quiet on our filters I keep forgetting to reply or [...]

Anyway, to business. I've been sitting in on some of the object testing at the BO. Crazy stuff, it's like the biggest game of trial and error I've ever seen. Here's some details I noticed on the objects I got to take a look at. Some of them seem like they'd be awfully useful in the wrong hands.

• The Firebird's Cage: Indestructable so far as they can tell. Makes a no-lethal incapacitating sound if someone tries to break in and steal its contents.
  
• Rapunzel's Hair: Also indestructable, seemed useful for disguises. It'll adapt to the wearer's hair type, color, everything. Also double as very strong rope.
  
• The Marionette: Still in testing and this thing is creepy. It absorbs people's life or something, can't explain it. It's like every creepy doll movie you've ever seen.

There are a few things still in testing right now, I'll keep you guys posted on the findings. Just thought we should know what's out there.

OOC: Hey guys! As implied in a previous log/post, Noel drafted a letter to the Academy inquiring about the budget cuts and recent firings. While drafting, she would have asked Academy faculty members (+ HoG members) if they would be interested in cosigning this letter. I'm putting up a SIGNATURES header, so just comment with your character's name if you want them to have been part of the undersigned.

Alright. Since nobody is stupid enough to buy Cabrera's reasoning, that begs a larger question of the Academy's funding. They gave us a bullshit reason for letting us loose with an equally bullshit "solution" of letting us go, with no plan for how they can fix whatever hole they've dug for themselves.

A few ways we can tackle this:
- Demand an audit of the Academy's funding, from tax records to payrolls to donations
- Demand a release of the previous financial records of Tuttle and the Academy
- Demand transparency with future funding plans with the Academy, so that they don't worm their way into these half-baked excuses again

Another question is how to tackle this: approach the Academy privately but collectively or make this a public demand and perhaps collect support in the form of signatures? Given the importance of the Academy and the education it provides, I'm leaning in favor of issuing a public statement, though I'm sure the public is already speculating what ties us fired professors together.

There is also the option of publishing an op-ed in one of the local publications or media channels, or perhaps just writing it publicly on the network for instant access.

Picketing and filibustering are also options, but less direct ones to getting answers.

I was let go in the Academy budget cuts. I'm still invested in overseeing Academy relations, perhaps especially now given its previous mismanagement. If this becomes a concern, given that I am no longer employed or directly involved with the school, do let me know.

Fun fact: I've never been fired before. It's new to me, I don't like it, and I'm still wrapping my head around this gale-force shitstorm of the past few days, so bear with me.

Time to start vegetable garden planning. What did people have good success with last spring?

This is me checking in. Can I bring you dinner or something so you don't have to worry about that?

I know that the idea of creating some kind of bait situation has a lot of risks. But I think it's something we still need to talk about further. It seems like most people don't believe we have someone who is leaking info from the inside. But that means we remain in the dark about who we're up against. I want to change our stance on that.

1. Vote on whether you agree or not with the idea of attempting to bait out our opponent (whether or not they are the so-called Adversary).

2. My thought is that we would have several replicas to replace throughout the day and we'll record from afar who comes to take it. If we could also put some kind of tracking device/potion (etc.) on each one, all the better. But this is not my area of expertise and I'd welcome all other suggestions.

3. If we choose to do this there are many outcomes to consider.

a. What do we do if we're caught setting it up?
b. What do we do if the cops show up?
c. What do we do if the business office shows up?

Don't fret, my darling buttercups, because you still have time to buy flowers through the Academy's 24^th annual sale, but if you'd like a more elaborate arrangement or a talking Venus Flytrap or something you have until Friday to place your order. Prices will vary, but I'm willing to work with you on it so don't hesitate if you're worried about funds.

And FYI chocolate is an acceptable form of payment from some ;) Sampson Spencers are excluded from that.

Happy Tuesday! For anyone who didn't hear Marty and me brainstorming, we're putting a list together of people who could possibly connected to the leak, in addition to people who may have heard something inadvertently about any of the weird town-wide things that've happened in the past few months.

This list will not go outside of us, and we are the only ones with access to it. I take everyone's safety and confidentiality seriously. If you have any questions, concerns, or think of an important category that we missed, please let me know.

Hi, Marco, I'm Detective McKenzie with the WPD. We found Kae safe and sound and we're bringing her home now. If you'd like to meet us at the hospital when we get back, I'll make sure you can come up to see her since you're her roommate. Her parents are flying in, but until they get here, she could use someone she trusts to be there.

If you need transportation, let me know and I can have an officer come pick you up.

While we're all giving updates, here's what I have from Nate Carson:

He didn't know when she was last seen, as he only saw her in the morning of that day. She did text him when she was leaving dinner, although she didn't say who she would be meeting, and then said she was on her way home.

He texted her again when she didn't show up at their apartment, and then she replied to say she was staying with her sister Charlie.

But Nate talked to Charlie the next day and she said Leona never came back, so they knew something was wrong. He has no idea where she's gone but says there's no way she'd do it willingly or leave for no reason or not warn all of them if something went wrong. And she'd never lose her phone, so the fact that it was found in a gutter in Tumbledown would be a cause for concern regardless of prior circumstances.
