Good morning, Woodsbridge. Jakob Gotti, deputy sheriff of the Woodsbridge Police Department. If I could have a moment of your time, it'd be appreciated.
I'm going to be frank with you: I don't like the way things have been going in our town lately. I don't like that several members of our community have been put in harm's way. I don't like that what happens sometimes feels like it's out of our control. So I have an idea, and I want to hear what you all have to say about it.
There's a program called a Neighborhood Watch. It involves members of our community working together to increase vigilance and security in our town.
I've put together some
basic information based on questions you might have about it. If you have others I haven't addressed, put them here.
What I'm asking for is volunteers, to be members of the program, and volunteers from each neighborhood to serve as leaders for that neighborhood. A lot of the details are broken down in the materials.
I also want to say that I really believe that we are a strong community who can work together and do our best to keep ourselves safe. I believe we all care about that. And I believe we can do more to make that happen.
I look forward to hearing your input and thank you for your time.
