I think this is the only time I have ever really slept well. It is very strange not having that image of something I am tracking in my mind or hearing everything. Very quiet. I cannot even make it through the fog, which feels strange.

I found a cat in the middle of the storm laying under dead grass for cover. She was buried with her butt and tail sticking out. Does not seem to have any injuries, but she let me uncover her and pick her up without a fuss. And has not said a word other than her name to me.
Now I'm sitting here in my room with this cat in a box with water and food, not sure what to do with her. I can't afford to take her to a vet.
