The Emerald Theatre is proud to announce its participation in Tale Appreciation Month by - you guessed it - a movie marathon, starting Thursday, April 20 and lasting through Sunday, April 23. It's the same weekend as the garden competition, so when you've had enough outdoor fun, come on in and cool off with a movie in our air-conditioned theatre. Here is our finalized line-up, and your regularly scheduled releases will still be playing in Auditoriums 1 and 2.

We will personally be inviting Registered Tales to attend the viewings of their own movies, though anyone and everyone is welcome to attend. Bring your friends, bring your family, bring your friend's family, bring your family's friends. We've done our best to accommodate as many Tale groups as possible, though we weren't able to do so for all of them. For this, I apologize, and ask you to let us know if there movies you would like to see next year that didn't make it onto our 2017 list.

Tickets are discounted (for the marathon only) and may also be purchased in bulk, if there are multiple movies you'd like to see. Feel free to dress up in costume and take pictures, and don't forget to tag us in any instagram posts (@emeraldtheatrewoodsbridge).

Additionally, everyone please give a heartfelt thank you to Breadcrumbs for the specially-themed snacks they've provided the theatre with for this occasion. This event wouldn't be such an immense success without them.

I'm currently reevaluating the concession stand at the Emerald. If there are snacks you'd like to see that we don't have, now's the time.

Additionally, because I am a generous soul, there are Girl Scouts camped out in the lobby for the remaining duration of their selling period. Buy a box* at the time of purchasing your ticket and get a dollar off. The girls will be stamping your hands to prove you paid, and you'll be permitted to take them into the auditoriums, as well.**

This is a limited time offer, so come drown your sorrows in Thin Mints or whatever your poison is, and catch up on all the Oscar winners you missed while you can.

* No, you can't buy 12 boxes and get a ticket free. The discount remains the same, regardless of the number of boxes you purchase.

** Be warned, we'll be doing bag checks to confirm that the only outside food you're bringing in is the box of Girl Scout cookies.

I'm pleased to announce that the Emerald Theatre will be offering an anti-Valentine's Day horror movie marathon over Presidents' Day Weekend. Tickets can be purchased for the entire marathon, or for individual movies. Find the listings here.

Additionally, I'm looking into making themed weekend marathons at least a semi-regular thing. Suggestions are welcome.

I realize it's incredibly tempting to be handsy with your significant other in a dark movie theatre, but please refrain from doing anything that could potentially scar our other guests. This is not your home, as comfortable as we strive to make it feel, and we will have to ask you to leave.

No, we're not showing Elf or Love Actually as part of the Christmas Movie Weekends at the Emerald Theatre, nor will I consider adding them to the line-up, so stop asking. All movies begin at 7 pm unless otherwise stated. There's a copy of the remaining schedule below for anyone who still needs one. And yes, tickets are discounted.
