Mar. 26th, 2014

[Private to Selina K]
[Right after reading this.]

Meow face.

selina k., eddie n.

[He waits. And waits. And then he sees this, and thinks maybe, just maybe, she remembers. It still takes him a while to actually convince himself to contact her, and even longer to progress it beyond endless cursor blinking.]

[locked to selina k.]

I Do you This is a terrible [...] Hello.

ETA: [locked to eddie n.]

What do you want done with your security?

[Stephanie B.]
[Eddie's been veerrry careful around Stephanie since the failed birthday celebration. On Tuesday morning, Eddie's gone bright and early, but he's left her a green health juice in the fridge and a wildflower bouquet on the table with a note:]

Riddle me this: Should I visit Arkham to destroy my deactivated tech and check out new warden? y/n/vy?

eddie n., da bat

[comm to eddie n.]

[During Bruce's post, right after Eddie comments the breakdowns on the clinics, etc. She's Spoiler'd on a rooftop near midtown, where the highest buildings are. Beep, beeeep, beep. When he picks up, teasing warmth:] Look at you still playing tactician.

[comm to bruce w.]

[After this. Beeeep beep beep insistent beep!! until he picks up.]

For those of you not already aware, the water supply was dosed with a drug cocktail which altered our perceptions. What you've experienced during the past week, the low crime rate and even certain aspects of your own lives, were not real. With the drugs intercepted and the water now clear, the effects should wear off entirely within a day or so. We're coordinating with the police and emergency workers to ensure minimal casualties, as some of you might have noticed the spike in recent suicides. Coming down from this affects everyone differently. Your help is appreciated.

Jonathan Crane was responsible. As far as I'm aware he hasn't left Arkham, which means he'll attempt to maintain control. I'm going in after him, but I only need one or two of you along for backup. The priority is the city.

[Eddie's outside of the Greenhouse sometime in the late morning. He's dressed in jeans, green chucks, a zip-up hoodie with a dino t-shirt underneath and a Knights baseball cap. He's still the short, adorable man he always was, but his shoulders are bigger and tattoos sneak out across his hands and above his collar. In one hand is a pink doughnut box and the other a tray carrying two coffee cups to-go. He gives a wary look at a nearby plant and then sets the food down so he can text Harley:]

Busy? I brought a peace offering.

[Public, after this]

A natural state, I'm sought by all.
Go without me, and you shall fall.
You do me when you spend,
and use me when you eat to no end.

[Tuesday, around the time of a certain couple's momentary disappearance. Still from the abandoned office building, curled up on a torn and half-unstuffed couch, Muerte feels something shiver through Gotham. There's still enough of the supernatural left to her that she's sensitive to something going on. It turns her stomach for just a second, and she frowns as she looks toward the broken window, almost expecting to see something, but nothing's there.

Exactly a minute later it happens again, and the second time is worse. The city shudders around her and leaves her gasping and digging her fingers into the sad cushion underneath herself. It takes her a bit to recover from that one, and she looks toward the window again. More long minutes pass while she works up the energy to unfold from the couch and make her way over, peering out at the city through the glassless frame. The city is as quiet as it ever gets, no sirens or shouting in response to what felt (to her) like an earthquake. Fingers digging into the sill for a while, she finally makes her way back to the couch and her journal. Her name stubbornly remains Em when she writes, and it shows up public.]

Gotham, did anyone else feel that? Earthquake, maybe? [After a few replies that say no one else felt anything, she crosses it out, though it's still visible, as are the comments.]

[While patrolling as Spoiler to get a feel for this Gotham again. Beeep beep beep.]

Mar. 17th, 2014

[Public, Gotham & open to anyone with a comm/journal]

[Gotham's Peace Department falls first. And, let's face it, that doesn't take very long at all. Pheromones and handcuffs, and the little keepers of the peace are all trussed naked at their desks by 10:15 p.m. Their little squad cars are all flat and empty, and the phones ring and ring and no one can answer them.

Why? Good question.

Maybe it has something to do with Gotham Bank, and the fact that three women emptied it out, while leaving more naked cops in their trail? Or maybe it's the trussed up workers at the museum, the ones vowing their love to plants while some precious artifacts are gone, gone? Or maybe it's the three very, very wealthy Gotham families that just lost some very, very old jewels, and who are covered in hyena slobber?

Or, and this is the most likely, maybe it's the zoning office, where the plans for the demolition of one of Gotham's last natural habitats is being planned? After all, the place is going up into the Gotham night like fireworks.

And anyone who turns on the comms? They can hear three very familiar voices. The girls are broadcasting on all channels, and they're just getting started. Oh, and they're helpfully setting themselves to transcribe to the journals. They're sweet that way.]

[Text(s) to Harley Q.]

Mar. 15th, 2014

[Comm to Stephanie Brown]

[Private to Bruce W.]

Dark Knight.

Mar. 13th, 2014

[Private to Selina K.]

Riddle me this: Have you ever been to the greenhouse? This place is fascinating.

[Private to Harl and Pam]

I invited the kitty to stay. Is that alright? [Blink.] Also, I think I saw a man kill himself when I left to get snackies. He was standing across the street, walked into an alley and he just shot himself. Is that alarming? I feel like we should be alarmed.

Mar. 12th, 2014

[As Harvey Dent, during Gothoptia.]

I always knew Gotham could count on itself to prevail.

eddie n.

[locked to eddie n.]

[After a couple of days of him at Harley and Pam's.] Are you coming home or moving in with the girls?

Mar. 10th, 2014

[Selina K, Stephanie B, Eddie N]

[A day or two after the party.]

[Selina K]
Something isn't right I feel worse than usual How's your cold? Maybe that's the problem I think maybe you gave it to me.

[Stephanie B]
[After seeing the tabloids of Eddie attacking the commissioner.] Are you okay?

[Eddie N]
What happened? Are you okay? I don't even know you, but I feel worried I shouldn't be asking

What's going on?!

[There's a visible press of pen, but no words.]

Mar. 8th, 2014

[Public as Eddie Nashton]
[Early in the morning after this. Charges against Eddie for attacking the police commissioner are dropped because gee it was just bad booze that made him go a little nuts, right?]

It's nice how a good donation seems to solve all my problems. So many forgiving and lovely people in this shining, perfect city.
