[Filtered message to Frodo Baggins, Aragorn]

I have to say that this is a strange way of communicating with both of you, especially the two of you whom I read about as a child back in England. I've recently, um, how shall I put this? Acquired Samwise as a partner in my head. The girl he had previously...I believe she returned to her home country, from what he tells me. Anyway.

Samwise mentioned that you lot might be going on a quest soon. He seems particularly worried about it, understandably so from what I understand about what's going to happen soon in your world. I can ask for a holiday from work to make it easier for Samwise to shift back and forth between worlds easily enough, if you think it would assist both of you.

[locked to Samwise and Aragorn

Samwise -
I have taken the time to pen a note to your old Gaffer. Nob will take it to Buckland next week or the following one and have Uncle Rory send it on up to Hobbiton. That should give us the extra time that we need it. I have only _stretched_ the truth in a few places, and have left out the real reasons behind our journey southward.

Gaffer Gamgee, #5 BagShot Row, Hobbiton, The Shire. )

[In Sindarin]
I think we should leave the Inn seperately and meet up again somewhere on the Southern Road. I have procured Samwise and I, a reason and a wagon south. I trust in your knowledge of the road that you will find an out of the way spot in which to reconvene. But that would spare the questioning that would surely arise from the Breelanders if we three were seen leaving Bree together.

[Public, as Elinor Stewart]

Trying to out drink a Scottish lawyer's daughter in an Irish pub is just asking to get your money taken from you. Thank you, lads, for giving me a good tip yesterday for my efforts.

[ooc: if anyone wants to say they were at said pub or part of the contest, please feel free :D]

Mr. Frodo, Aragorn, look! [above, imagine a hand drawn image similar to the one linked]

The seeds I planted just after those holidays before are beginning to grow. They look quite lovely, I imagine, don't they, Mr. Frodo? Aye, I think they do. 'Tis a brighter future we'll be making, even if this is a wee thing that we can do to make it brighter.

Frodo, Sam

Frodo and Sam,

I could not find Legolas.

It was this time in our world that Gandalf sent me on an errand. I nearly forgot, but as he is not here, he could not do so again. I did not have time there to search all the places that I wished, but there is time yet to do so and I will make use of it.

It will take me far from the Shire, but as my key continues to open at Bree, I can return. If there is any sign of the enemy, no matter how small, you must tell me.

So I've never thought about using this for something like this before now, but if anyone's feeling generous or curious, I'm willing to write up some fanfiction. It could be from any fandom, really, or even the other person that you share a head with. It wouldn't really be fanfiction, but hey, if you want me to write stories about the Vegas people, I'm game for that. I'm willing to negotiate the price for each piece!

I've never quite understood some of the phrases that you humans use. Such as 'pain in the ass'. Is the person literally being a pain in your ass? Perhaps kicking it, or even biting it? No? Then might it be simpler and easy to understand if you said precisely how you feel instead of using these complicated turns of phrase?

This is why I believe you humans have problems communicating. If you spoke more literally, there would be less confusion, and perhaps, less problems.

In other news, can anyone explain to me why the birds are angry? And why the pigs are taking their homes? I do not understand this game.

Public, Sam and Frodo

[Written in Tengwar]

The Sundering Seas between them lay,
And yet at last they met once more,
And long ago they passed away
In the forest singing sorrowless.

[Private to Frodo and Sam]

I am unable to find Legolas.

So, who got fifty pages on their new book written since yesterday? That's right. I did.

Frodo: [Public]

It is like Hobbiton, and Gondor, and Gandalf's fireworks all rolled into one.
Only the buildings are taller than I am comfortable with.

Does anyone want to trade breeks?
I am tired of walking on/out of these.

Anybody have Bailey's and Irish whisky to go with this coffee?

Jan. 30th, 2013

I've been working a lot lately, even though I'm just an intern. Luckily a paid one, or Da would have never let me move here. He still doesn't think the big city is a place for a lass like me, but that's neither here nor there. Da did say he's been visiting to London more frequently lately, which makes me a wee bit glad that I'm not on the other side of the pond right now. Those journeys were never the greatest, though London is quite a beautiful city, at least certain parts are, anyway.

There isn't anybody here who wants private ballet lessons, is there...? I'm looking to keep up my ballet practice now that the studio I was teaching at is closed.

How do you make them stop, switch off, she won't stop. Can I drown it out? Does anything work?

Jan. 15th, 2013

Seriously? This is what they're worried about? It was only set 17 minutes to midnight at the end of the bloody Cold War. So we're only 12 minutes closer to impending doom. Like I'm all that bloody worried about that. So what would it take to get them to decide that the world isn't close to its doom?

[Filtered: Aragorn and Legolas, viewable to Denethor but Sam doesn't know he's there yet!]

How is it, where you are? The Shire is as it ever is, though I think maybe I could try to escape for a wee holiday. Mr. Frodo probably wouldn't know that I'm gone too long, he's been so busy as of late. Always off wandering, he is. He's always been one for adventures and stories, though.

It's maddening, knowing that Mr. Bilbo has the Ring here, and that there's not a darn thing I can do about it. He has to know it's not good for him, doesn't he? I would think, certainly! I can see it changing him now. He doesn't age, Mr. Bilbo. He's 109 but he looks like he could be 50, still a young hobbit! It never struck me as odd before, just that he was lucky, Mr. Bilbo was.

Miss Elinor, the woman in the other world, saw the movie of Mr. Bilbo's life before everything happened. He was pretty brave, Mr. Bilbo was, but when he took the Ring from that horrid creature...I don't honestly know what he was thinking! I understand now though. The...whatever you call it. The want of it, I guess. I don't really care much for it and just want it GONE, but Mr. Frodo even felt its pull there at the end. Were it not for that wretched Gollum, Mr. Frodo would have been taken by the Ring, too. It's why I can't just go find him and kill the creature, because without him, Mr. Frodo would have been lost forever.

[Filtered from law-enforcement types]

Might be a long shot, but hey, who's counting?

I'm an intern at local law firm here, looking for some work. Anyone need a lawyer or anything legal? If you're on here, I'd be willing to do some under the table stuff just to get my name out there a bit. Probably would help to introduce myself, too. I'm Elinor Stewart. My family's got a long history with politics and the like.

Jan. 2nd, 2013

The holidays are always a busy time for lawyers and the like. I can't believe how busy I've been with working lately and such. I'm only an intern so I get to see a whole ton of stuff, but I've had the craziest clients. Seriously!

..On the other hand, I think Sam learned a lot when I went to see The Hobbit this past weekend. He kept commenting in the most fascinating of places, though he was dreadfully quiet at the beginning of the movie.

[Filtered message to Legolas and Aragorn]

I thought you two should know. I had a nightmare that...well. That Mr. Frodo became like that Gollum creature. Maybe it's because I know where the Ring is now and it's very close, but I...I'd like that not to ever happen to Mr. Frodo.

[As Castiel]

I do not understand this form of communication. Is it not simpler to speak face to face?

And who is 'Siri'? She keeps asking me questions. Does she live in this device?
