Tate told me that he thinks [All scribbled out with blue ink.] Talk to me.

[Then posted publicly, from Loren C.]
How do we accept what we've done?

I have not seen one of those in some time. Intriguing.

[Locked to Acheron]

And you, are you here?

[Emailed to the address Gideon specified in this post.]

Here's my resume and cover letter. It's sort of generic since I haven't written one since graduating. Hope it's what you're looking for.

Attached is a fairly generic cover letter explaining all of the life skills she got from MMA fighting and how that would apply to an entry level position. Her resume indicates a degree in Kinesiology and a win record a mile long. There's links to all her major fights. At the bottom, under skills, it lists a fluency in American Sign Language, but makes no direct reference to being deaf.

I'm looking for someone willing to let me through their door so the [ ... ] other person in my head has a chance to explore unfamiliar territory. Though if you're looking to avoid significant collateral damage to wherever it leads, I wouldn't recommend it.

This is mostly in the interest of avoiding him taking control of me. He's jealous of the attention some of you are getting.

[Note left for Loren C]
[The morning after sneaking out of the apartment and letting herself into Loren's place, the following note is left on the kitchen table. She's asleep on the couch, and the living room is a mess of gray fabrics and religious books, her brown hair just visible beneath the blanket.]

Breakfast is tucked in the microwave.

[Locked to Gideon A]
That new place hired me, and I moved out of living with the nuns. I'm staying on a friend's couch for now, so that old number you got for me doesn't work no more.

[Locked to Clare J]
Get out of that hotel just fine?

Apr. 10th, 2012

[As Violet H. Messy, young scrawl that is decidedly ungirlish.]

Is anyone else dead? Because it really sucks, especially when no one new comes around.

I'm looking for two people.

To the dear girl who was afraid to go down those stairs - did you ever manage it? Or did the idea of uncertainty best you?

And to the girl looking for her wolf - still whole and hale? More's the pity if that's the case.

Public, Nathan R, Gideon A, Loren R

[A full day after Violet slips back through the door, while Tate still sleeps.]

I got someone I'm needing to thank, on account of them saving my life the other night. It was down at that lake beneath the party, and it was a woman wearing a mask.

[Locked to Nathan R]
I'm sorry I didn't make church on Sunday. That party kind of left me hurt, and then I got in all kinds of trouble with the folks I stay with.

[Locked to Gideon A]
They're having me go for some other job at the hotel, on account of me not knowing the names of the drinks and not showing up a few days straight.

[Locked to Loren C]
[...] Did you go?

Reading this journal has turned me into quite the voyeur. Your lives seem so fascinating and yet so normal.

Mr. Ayers, I got a call today about one of the interviews I went on.

[Locked to Nathan R]
Nathan? You reading this?

[Call to Gideon A]

Mar. 7th, 2012

I'm looking for someone named Tate. I'm not real sure of his last name.

[Locked to Gideon A]
You here, Mr. Ayers?

Mar. 5th, 2012

[the handwriting is small, elegant, and crisp, written in black ink.]

My dear people.

I must say that this is an entirely unexpected but delightfully different outcome than the one I was sure I was due for. I won't complain about the state of affairs, as they certainly are tolerable, at least in part. I knew time travel was possible, but parallel universes? Incredible! What wondrous things I can do with this!

But I've been rude - I haven't even introduced myself. While I doubt any of you will see my name in your newspapers, you will see my deeds, and you will absolutely feel the effects of my actions in good time. I would hate to disappoint anyone who recognizes me, or leave the impression that I am not a man of my word on those who don't.

- Acheron Hades

[the name is signed a little larger than the rest of the writing, and with a sharp flourish.]

So I need a new job. I can deal cards but I got no experience doing anything else but retail.

I can file or something. Anything, at this point. My standards are low.

[Phone call to Gideon A]
[Midday, to the number on the business card he gave her. Ring.]

How many of you actually followed the instructions on this thing and went to a condemned building at midnight on Monday at the behest of an invisible author?

I'm not much of one for Darwinian theory, but it didn't seem like a good idea to me.

Feb. 19th, 2012

[Micah's handwriting is neat and narrow, cramped together with tall upstrokes]

Strange journals should really come in the mail with instructions included.

[Call to Gideon A]

[It's a bit of a comedy of errors, really. She calls Cassilda when she sees an ad in a local paper. It's in the middle of the day, during one of her shifts peddling Jesus to passersby outside casinos on the strip. She's two hours into said shift, and those two hours have been spent side-by-side with teenagers holding out fliers for local strip clubs and brothels just outside the city limits. She is, needless to say, flustered. When the secretary at Cassilda answers and refuses to let her speak with Gideon, Hannah alludes to a higher power and the fact that Gideon must speak with her, which the secretary takes to mean she has an well-placed parent or patron. There's hold music a few moments later as the call is transferred. Ring.]
