[Eddie's been veerrry careful around Stephanie since the failed birthday celebration. On Tuesday morning, Eddie's gone bright and early, but he's left her a green health juice in the fridge and a wildflower bouquet on the table with a note:]

Riddle me this: Should I visit Arkham to destroy my deactivated tech and check out new warden? y/n/vy?

[Steph's been equally as careful, sure not to say anything too triggering and tiptoeing around him as much as possible. When she wakes up to the flowers, she practically bursts into tears. After calming down and drinking her green smoothie, she decides to go out for a long run with Matilda. Leaving a purple post-it on the hall table stuck to a hand-written coupon for one homemade dinner, redeemable any time he pleases:]

VY. Who knows what they can do if they get hands on your stuff. Any info/dossier on the new person?

[On the whiteboard in the kitchen a drawing of a shake, a taped on picture of a easybake oven and then a large drawing of a goofy-ass looking chicken. All of them are added together to equal "DINNER" written in big letters. A printed out note is taped under it:]

I turned all that mess off so Bats and whoever fucked up Crane could get in, but it's still there. BTW are we going to have a running bet who Jesus'd him?

I don't know shit about the new person. Do you think they'll put in someone who's a little less understanding than Leland was?

[A laugh that echoes through the apartment when she returns with Matilda, and she snaps a picture on her phone for posterity. But she catches the hint. While she's out getting supplies for dinner (shake and bake chicken and a nice side salad), Matilda trots to wherever Eddie is in the apartment and drops a slobbery ball at his feet. Taped to that, in a plastic baggy, a hand-written note:]

I was gonna ask the same thing. If you had any idea. $20 on Todd? Tho that's not even his M.O.

Prob, don't you think that her being so understanding shot her in the foot in the end?

[He's downstairs chatting with the ladies, showing off his tattoos. In the fridge there's an extremely old carton of milk that Eddie's lovingly drawn giant X eyes and a stuck out tongue to notify it's ready to be thrown away. Below its dead face is a note:]

You must put this milk out to pasture.

[Another note taped to that note:]

Nah, not Todd. He doesn't waste time on torture, right? One of the Sirens?

Yeah, maybe. I can't believe she let Crane experiment with drugs under her nose like that. The thing is, there's not going to be anyone better than her. We get guys like Hugo who likes to cosplay as Batman in his closet when he's feeling pretty.

[Milk is exterminated by the time he returns. To tell him the deed is done, on the whiteboard she doodles a little bottle of milk with Xs for eyes and a couple cows crying over it. A v good whiteboard doodle if she says so herself. Under that doodle is a flowchart to answer his first question:]

PLANTS? --no--> DEF NOT IVY. HOW ABOUT BRAGGING? --nope--> PROB NOT ANY OF THE SIRENS LBR. SOME RANDOM GOON? --maybe?--> EVERYONE IS PISSED @ CRANE RN.

[Underneath the drawing is a piece of loose leaf taped:]

I know. She did do a lot too but seriously we can't let that happen again. I wish there was a way to put a plant in there. Is there a way?

[Loud "I'M GOING TO THE GYYYYMM" from the living room and then the door slams shut. When she comes out to the front room, the Riddler trophy hanging from the ceiling is on and blinking. If she feels around the base, a little compartment pops out to reveal another note:]

Look on the journals. I'm officially removing myself from the situation.

Well, if we throw Ivy in Arkham, there'd be a literal plant- okay I'll stop.

[He made her a spinny wheel out of thick construction paper. It's divided up into different options and actually has a spinner she can flick. The options are as follows:]

1) Keep the tech in Arkham, install spy cameras

2) Throw a bat in there

3) Volunteer on the weekends

4) Pay some idiot

[While he's gone, she cleans until the apartment is spotless. Vacuums and mops floors, feeds the pets, scrubs the bathroom. The flowers find their way to being a centerpiece on their table, and she sets places for dinner. When he comes home, she's hiding away in her office, starting to decide how to decorate. On his plate, a doodle of a jester hat and a question mark, and then the spinner resting on option 1.

A tiny card with just her name signed on the inside with a piece of construction paper that falls out:]

It said volunteer but I cheated and changed it.

I can't fault you for cheating at any kind of game.

I'll keep minimal tech in Arkham

for the soul purpose of setting up cameras.

I'm worried about Harley, too.

Don't know if she'd listen to me.

Maybe you can check on her?

[Eyeroll at that conversation.] Most people can't handle Gotham. That's why they only come here for funerals. She can stay on her island. [He tries to edge her closer, as if he's begging to be touched.] Talking to her isn't going to help and he can't exactly punish his own daughter for getting revenge like that, can he? [Hum when she finally tugs on his shirt and then he loosens his grip on her back, as if he's not sure if she wants to be touched at all.] I think I'm going to stay out of it. I don't know enough about her or their dynamic to do any good.
