Looking for a woman who I met at the diner, who seemed to think she was rather unimportant and got sick towards the end.

With certain events coming up, I find myself wondering what other worlds are actually like. My world is not the most pleasant of places right now, though I imagine other worlds are worse.

I got a letter from my ex-fiance today. She actually asked if I would meet her in New York for some charity event. I'm not sure what she is thinking but politely declining seemed the best option. After all these months, she still has the gall to assume that we are fine. Did she not read the papers, or receive word from home? This month just keeps getting better and better.

Preliminary results came back. They're [ ... ] good. Better than anybody expected. It's not 100%, but considering every other attempt never got past 0, it's a success.

They've been trying to figure out what's causing it, but nothing that comes up is familiar. ... what's in that stuff? I won't pass the information along if you don't want me to, but if nothing else, I'd like to know.

In response to the local news report just this morning, all of these supposed arsonists are giving me a bad name. First the mess with the Fulton garage, that was clearly done by an amateur, then this.

I suppose it would look a bit suspicious if I asked the other guy Vegas side to report to the local authorities, announcing that he knew a fire expert. Why can't we cross worlds more often?

Okay, screw the whole ghost thing - which I'm not by the way, but I can see them - I'm in the head of a murderer.  Straight up, cold blooded killer.  I am never letting him back in Vegas again.

I'm starting to think that someone has it out for my siblings and I.

Someone deliberately set fire to my sister's work place, though it was made evident that the perpetrator wasn't an expert.

And now Felicia's...gone.

Maybe I lived in New York for far too long, but this seems strange to me. It could also be the guy in my head insisting that I investigate. They happened far too close together.
