BATTLE AT SEA:
AN IC/OOC EVENT
IN THIS CORNER...
The problem with a magical ship that sails itself is that no one aboard The Derleth is able to give it instructions. Perhaps that was how it came to be surrounded by three factions of ships; pirates, the British Royal Navy, and the privateers of the East India Trading company. The royal navy is interested in taking the wanted criminals among you. The pirates and East India Trading Company are after your treasure. They're not working together, exactly, they just happen to share come common goals at the moment. It's chaos on the high seas!
IT'S NEVER SIMPLE...
It's early morning and in a few hours The Derleth will be sinking. Supplies, people, bits of The Derleth, will all be washing up on the shore of a mysterious island. To be fair, it did take three small armadas to defeat The Derleth and some of the crews do have magical items designed specifically to counter those of you with higher power levels. (You're free to make up what it took to make things a fair or not so fair fight.) Your reputations preceded you which meant unfortunately, the three factions were uniquely prepared for this battle.
OOC NOTES
As usual, look for the comment headers. The last comment will be the typical "questions" header to close things out. No injury rolls, you guys get to decide what you want to happen to your characters and how hurt they get. It's up to you if your character washes up on the mysterious island or not or if they get kidnapped by one of the armadas. (I suggest characters wash up on shore so they're not cut off from RP interaction, but that's up to you and how you want to plot that out. I ain't your mama. Do what you think will be fun!)

[During his captivity at the hands of a ruthless but slightly less than exceptional band of pirates, Loki took to placing messages in empty rum bottles and throwing them out to sea. By day five some of these bottles may have reached the shore or other places where the people of Derleth have found themselves. If your character came across one of these bottles, reply below and find out what message they received!]

You. People (myself possibly included) are starting to be concerned that you have drunk yourself into oblivion and fallen down a steep rockface. Kindly let someone with a pulse know that this is not the case. Thank you.

They had an execution today. Broh, they do some pretty gnarly shit to pirates here in Port Royal. I haven't cheered that loud since — well, since I was an idealistic young guy.

But hey! Port Royal. You gotta say it like Pulp Fiction. Port Royale with Cheese.

Fuuuuuuuck, I am super drunk.
