Alright. Listen up. I'm only going to say this once because I fucking hate repeating myself. I'm gonna be up all night in the center of the goddamn campus. I've made a quantum stabilizer in the hopes of keeping the Derleth bubble here on Planet Vegas. I know a bunch of you assholes went out and fucked with mobsters, but it's got food, clothes, shelter, real beds, and more ways to get money for those things.

So stop fucking with mobsters. I can mind wipe the memories from anyone you fucked with if you're that stressed about it. And hold onto your butts. If I'm lucky, and I'm always fucking lucky, we'll be on Planet Vegas tomorrow too.

And THAT'S what I've been doing on my own.

WEEK THIRTEEN
EPIC BODY SWAP

Despite Rick’s best efforts, on the seventh day at precisely 1:32 AM, the campus once more resets. Everyone trapped in the experiment falls unconscious (if not sleeping already). Gone are the bright lights and polluted skies of Planet Vegas, returning everyone to a familiar white void.

Later, everyone will eventually wake in their assigned bed, in their assigned room, in their assigned dorm in the exact condition they arrived, wearing the precise clothing they arrived in??? [Record scratch noise.]

Wait a minute….

What the fuck???

This is not how you wake up every week.

You’re you, technically, but this isn’t, well, you.

Shit. You’ve body swapped with one of your alternate reality selves.

GODDAMNIT, RICK!!!!! QUIT FUCKING WITH SPACETIME!!!!!


ABOUT THIS PLOT

  • There will be an IC/OOC event so people can react to any initial freakouts going on. (There will be at least a few.)
  • In Discord, for the May poll, the game voted on The school gets a little more space. The Green turns into more of a wild little park, buildings are spaced out a bit, probably nothing to worry about, right? This will be part of the IC/OOC event courtesy of Julia becoming a dryad because that was just a convenient way to explain how it happens.

REMEMBER
  • YOUR CHARACTER HAS BODY SWAPPED WITH ANOTHER VERSION OF THEIR SELF FROM AN ALTERNATE REALITY. MENTALLY/MEMORIES WISE, THEY ARE STILL THEMSELVES.
  • YOUR CHARACTER IS NOT AN AU THIS WEEK.

OPEN THREADS THE GREEN / CAMPUS 4TH FLOOR SHOWERS 1ST FLOOR STORAGE 1ST FLOOR AT 2AM DEXTER HALL
Premise Chaos has broken out on campus! Not everyone has taken to waking up as a different version of themselves well. Some will have to contend with new powers or abilities they have not yet learned to control! Others might find themselves having an existential crisis over what might be. Whatever the case may be, this week might require a little bit of adjustment.

Plot Overview Alright folks! Here is how this event is going to work.

Once the Injury Roll and Questions comments go up, you may add comments with what your characters are up to. Please use the format LOCATION: OPEN TO [ALL/NAME(S)/ETC]. If your event is open to all, it will be included as a link at the top of the event. If it's a private freak out moment, like in a dorm room between roommates, we'll add that event to the side.

Please use common sense. Don't make a post that steps on someone else's event. Reply to others as much as you would like to have folks reply to you. If everyone makes their own comment, no one is responding to one another.

MAY POLL You voted for it! The school gets a little more space. The Green turns into more of a wild little park, buildings are spaced out a bit, probably nothing to worry about, right? During this event, The Green and the space inside campus will be getting a little larger. Like the destruction of Carter Hall, this feature will remain. Revised map coming soon.

Differences your character will notice: the space between buildings has doubled or more and they're no longer lined up squarely with one another as the space expanded. The sidewalks did not grow with the new space and are broken up in places, leaving chunks of concrete an dirt paths for walkways. The Green is no longer a flat field but a little wild space with a lot more trees, including a few pokeberry trees. The greenhouse is also completely overgrown now. New animals in the green coming soon!

LOST? IC/OOC events can be intimidating and overwhelming. I wrote a "how to" on them because I struggled with them. I hope my rambly thoughts help. Send me a note on discord if you need assistance with the event. I kinda went a little extra with this.
TITLE NOTE "Waking Up Is Hard AU" is a play on the song "Breaking Up Is Hard To Do". I don't think it's proper grammar. Idk. I thought it was clever? Also I just need to fill up sections of this cool code. So. Have a random insight into your mod's weird brain?
