[Tuesday night, the missing squib children turn up in the most unexpected place: Godric's Hollow. Residents believe they first hear them in the doomed Potter residence, where a Dark Mark tellingly hangs in the sky, but no one actually sees the children until they're on Church Lane. All five children are crawling around on their hands and knees. They bark, they howl, they pee against trees and try to bite anyone who comes near. Whatever was done to them, it's stubborn, spells layered upon themselves. The children do not respond to their names, do not have language, do not attempt to walk upright. In short, they are feral, trying to attack any residents of the village who come near them. In the end, the Ministry is called, but the children have scattered into the surrounding, snow-covered areas by the time help arrives.]

[After the most recent payday at the club, sifting through the cash that comes to her in an envelope with just her name on it, no sign of bank account or official paperwork anywhere. There's more cash than there had even been in each of the previous weeks. She'd been stunned by the first week, almost protesting, but she wasn't quite altruistic enough at that point. And she's been hiding it, squirrelling it away as best she can at home ever since. But the amount has gone up. And so, very reluctantly, and with no cursing at all:]

[Eddie Nigma's apology for being an asshole comes in the form of detailed schematics of New Arkham. Floor plans, camera locations and guard towers. Certain areas that he doesn't know much about, like the sewers, are completely blacked and labeled with a question mark.]

New Arkham is essentially the same one I remember from a Gotham I knew. The layout is the same, but the building seems newer, which I guess makes sense considering how this Gotham likes to play. No one could swim to shore if they managed to escape save Croc, Bane (if they were dumb enough to lock him up here) and probably Clayface. The more efficient way of getting out would be through the ferries with a guard keycard. That can be remedied partially with more elaborate security measures including handprint scanning and voice recognition. It's not perfect and the smart guys are always going to get out, but it's something if you wanna throw Wayne money around.

I checked and there's not enough room here for the whole of Blackgate City. They could probably take a handful, but I doubt Leland wants to mess with the feds. Honestly, I don't even know how long Leland is going to last here before things go belly up.
