Rez was a mess after he left Lily's dorm. He couldn't go home, that was for sure. He didn't want the kids to see him this way, not that they had been awake, but still, he was in no condition to care for them right now. So he had called and had spoken briefly to Trevor who agreed to stay over with Charlie and keep an eye on the kids for him. After that, he had headed straight for a liquor store and had bought the biggest bottle of Jameson that he could find. It had been his intention to go to Finn's apartment once he had the booze in hand. But after he got to campus and had a couple of swigs out in the gazebo, he'd decided against that. There was one more person that he needed to tell about all of this and he wasn't too far off. And though he was already halfway on his way to lit and this could possibly be a bad idea or a bad time to do it, he was going to get it the fuck over with tonight so he had nothing more to dread in the morning.

Brown bag of booze in hand, Rez found Ari's dorm where Adam was still staying, at least as far as he knew. He knocked on the door a couple of times and then announced himself, "Hey, it's Rez. Adam here?" It was late, too late for visitors to the underage dorms, certainly, but he didn't care. He couldn't care about any of that right now. He just... needed somewhere to be other than by himself otherwise... Well Rez didn't really deal with things all that well on his own. Point in case was his state right now; tipsy, disheveled and tear-streaked.

Adam was in his mad zone. That meant that he was so mad that he just walked and didn't care. He walked around for a few hours before his feet found a semi-familiar path. Not that he'd walked there before, ridden there in a car though. Looking around, he finally noticed that he'd walked all the way to Riley's.

It was dark and cold and Adam was hungry. His belly gurgling loud at him as he stared at the house. Charlie was in there and he didn't want to go in, but his phone was dead and he was getting tired and cold. So, he sucked it up and went up to the door and knocked on it.

The last few weeks had been absolute hell on Charlie. When the sickness set in, he'd thought it was just heartbreak finally catching up to him. Charlie wasn't exactly doing a great job of looking after himself without Ava in his life, and since Maggie was at school so much, and he was mostly unemployed, there wasn't much else to do but sit around feeling sorry for himself. But when Maggie called one evening and told him she wasn't feeling well and wanted to come home, he snapped out of his mood long enough to drive to the school. What happened when he arrived was totally unexpected. Maggie wasn't the only one feeling ill. Everyone was sick, well, everyone who shouldn't be sick was sick. And it hit Charlie fast. He just about collapsed as the virus latched on to him. While he was terrified about his own health, he was more worried about Maggie. Unsure what to do, he texted his brother for help. It was a bad move, even though humans couldn't be infected (something Charlie didn't know at the time), because once Lewis (along with William and Alicia) arrived at school, they were all stuck there. What: Something is terribly wrong.

Ever since learning of Ava's car accident, Ana hadn't felt like her normal self. The previous weekend she had stayed with Ava at Ric's house because she didn't want to leave her twin's side. Even though Ava escaped the accident with injuries that were easily fixed, Ana still couldn't shake the fear that was gripping at her insides. She was able to drive to be with her twin, but she was too scared to drive herself back to the campus. And that was where Adam came in. Ana had called him and he hitched a taxi to drive her and her car back to the school.

Most of the week was spent at his place, needing to feel that sense of security that he gave her. Ana couldn't help but recall how she had lost her parents and nearly her own life in a car accident all those years ago. And now, she could've lost her twin in one as well. Classes were attended to and routines were gone about as normal, but those thoughts remained in the back of her mind.

Throughout it all, Adam was understanding and Ana still found herself wondering if she deserved it. For the moment, she didn't complain. Instead, she was pretty much back to her usual self, which found her straddling Adam on his bed, kissing her way to his mouth while she unbuttoned his shirt. With her lips on his, a sudden wave of dizziness took over her which caused her to stop and put a hand up to her temple. Only mere seconds later, overwhelming nausea hit. Covering her mouth, Ana scrambled off him and sprinted into the bathroom where she threw back the toilet seat and proceeded to vomit.

So much for trying to calm himself down from Ana's many many naughty photographs. She looked... good. And he'd been reading their highly explicit conversations from when they were apparently together later on in life. It was weird. Like reading some really cool porn but realising he'd written it. Ana seemed to be a really nice but weird girl and though Adam wasn't scared of much, he was a little nervous about her coming over. Maybe the idea of taking photographs of her had backfired, since she wanted to snap him too. He'd confessed of his virginity and now he felt really really stupid.

He wasn't as suave or confident as this adult Adam he'd been reading but he'd give it a damn good try. As soon as he heard the knock he flattened his hair and strolled as tall as he could to answer the door.

For the past couple of days, Ana felt completely on edge. Everything felt out of her control and she absolutely abhorred that feeling. Between trying to be supportive of Ava, arguing with Charlie not once, but twice, being a bitch to Will and snipping at Nox, she was barely holding herself together. It had at least been a relief that Ric helped her with the class last night since Ava was absent because Ana wasn't sure she could handle it herself at the moment.

Though the reason she was going to Texas with Adam wasn't a happy one, she was still glad to get away from the school for a while. The nighttime plane ride from Boston to Houston had been smooth though she noticed Adam was on edge, probably because it was his first time on a commercial flight. He was so used to being the one flying the planes, not just being a passenger.

The day was spent in the hotel by the airport, but once the sun set, they headed off towards Adam's old home. Ana had somewhat splurged on the rental car and had gotten a BMW convertible whose top was currently down as they drove along the highway. Every now and then she glanced over at Adam, wondering how he must be feeling to see his father again after all these years. "Are you doing alright?"

Adam was dead to the world Saturday night and all day Sunday. He felt like shit and didn't want to mess with anyone. Thankfully his Uncle Jon gave him a pass and left him alone Sunday to just lay around and sleep. So he slept and slept and slept and woke up to pea and sip water before going back to sleep some more. It was around 10:30ish in the morning that he finally felt more alive and enough to get out of bed and try to eat something. His stomach was growling and refusing at the same time. It made him want to throw up a bit. So, maybe it was best to stick to water or the sprite he got when he managed to drag himself to the vending machine to make his belly feel better. God he hated coke right then. Adam wasn't even sure if he could drink the soda anymore without feeling queasy. It was on his way back, an adventure done in his sleeping shorts alone, that he came back to an uncle coming down the hall. Wonderfuuuuuuuuul. He was already begging for death, but now he was down on his knees.

This was going to be fun. Ari had been itching to get the fuck out of this school, even just for a day, and Adam was a good enough patsy for a set of wheels. Plus, maybe Adam could be okay. He was easily bullied and he seemed to have something to prove and that was always funny, if not useful. So Ari was pacing around by the front gate, wearing a shirt for once. His wings felt weird being crushed against his back, but they needed to be covered up or they'd get lynched. Having an obscure, blurry video online was one thing. Having fifty people downtown snap pics of gay ass butterfly wings on a guy on their phones was something entirely different.

Seeing Adam finally coming, Ari slipped his hands into his pocket, smirking a little. "Bout fuckin' time," he said, half with amusement and half with annoyance. "You ready to shake off the shackles of this fuckin' establishment or what?"

Never in her entire life had Ana Van der Witt ever felt this guilty over anything. Seeing her sister in pain just wasn't acceptable and Ana felt like she was mostly to blame for it. Nothing anyone said helped ease the guilt she felt and why should it? If she had just given up the charade when Charlie first started to suspect something during the switch none of this would be happening right now. As it was, Ana was still saddled with all the guilt as she sat in her living room. Two empty bottles of Jack, an empty bottle of Pinot Noir and an empty bottle of brandy sat before her on the coffee table. She swayed gently though she was unaware of it as she stared at the wall across from her, nursing a glass of brandy. It took a great deal of alcohol these days to get her inebriated, but she was feeling the alcohol right now. She thought the alcohol would make her feel numb and help her forget the overwhelming guilt, but it didn't. Choking back a sob, she gulped down the last of the brandy and set the glass back down on the coffee table before standing up.

The room wasn't spinning, but Ana didn't feel terrible stable. It didn't matter though. She couldn't stay here right now. Grabbing her keys, she went to see the only person that could possibly make her feel alright again. Stumbling slightly to the stairwell and through the hall, she finally made it to Adam's apartment and knocked on the door, leaning on the wall next to it for support while she waited.

Ever since Monday night's conversation with Adam, Ana had felt kind of overwhelmed which ended up turning into numbness. She couldn't properly process any of it so instead she locked herself up in the mini study in her apartment for a while. As much as she wanted to she couldn't tell Ava about this because she already had a bunch of drama of her own. The only thing Ana could do was keep this to herself and try to figure out what to do.

Once Thursday came around, Ava was already moving back into her place with Charlie though Ana knew they still had a lot more to work out. Still, Ana found herself all alone in her apartment and didn't know what to do with herself after Ava left. She'd been taking care of her sister since Saturday and thus preoccupied herself with only thoughts of helping her, but now that she was gone, there was a huge gaping hole that Ana had no idea how to fill.

Dyeing her hair back to the golden blonde she'd had before took a while, but even after she was done rinsing the last of the dye out and blow drying her hair straight, it still felt like it hadn't taken enough of her time. Really Ana was only stalling from having to do the inevitable. Once she was dressed, she slowly made her way to Adam's apartment, feeling like she was marching towards a firing squad. Though, she had a feeling that would've been less painful than this. Closing her eyes for a moment, she steeled herself as she knocked on his door.
